James you've done quite a bit of good throughout. People forget there's a human behind the screen. This nobody's few interactions with you have been neutral at worst and helpful/insightful at best. Undoubtedly you helped make this messageboard what it is - that basically taught me how to play the game and got me top8ing pptqs for the first time. Thanks for all that.
The mob calling for someone's head, basically it's all hubris. They try to defend "muh mtg community" like it will last much longer or it's worth protecting. The game is a curious relic from the 90s and it's unfair and is it really even all that great? All I'm saying is that... if there ever existed a game that was worth defining your self-worth by (there isn't), you can do miles better than mtg. So fuck those guys anyway.
Thanks again. It would be cool to see you around online in the future in whatever you decide to move on to.

Yeah at first I thought it was just bad variance (and it's happening quite a bit so I think that argument is valid) but I'm down 40$ on tickets to events I got no returns from, over 2 days. I'd say it was worth it if I had learned anything, but after serious hindsight I feel like I'm playing perfectly. That's why I was starting to doubt the deck.
In any other game, I could turn to replays of professional players to get inside their head and understand what they do, but there's a huge lack of information in this game.
But I'm glad my ego got taken down a few notches from permanent 2nd place at fnm to actual fish.

I had no idea what the arrows on the turn structure bar meant so I was clicking them to figure it out. I learned when I went to block a greymerchant with YP and I intended to cast searing blood to gain a token. I had it set to never yield for anything and the turn ended with my YP dead and my searingblood uncast. Stuff like that was happening every game. I think I'm used to the client now and I can play at fullform.
Playing CVM right now though, that's neat.

I bought from http://www.abumtgo.com/ because they seemed cheaper than the first google result which was http://www.mtgotraders.com/
Whatever, I'm sure I'll get my cards tomorrow I just wanted to get as much practice in before a few live events coming up in the next few weeks for me. I bought them friday night so that's like 3 days delay that's bumming me out

Ugh well I went ahead and bought a mutavault-less shockland-less deck with no sideboard (or at least a very small one). Using guildgates and painlands and temples. Except nowhere on the site did they say they had delivery hours and now I have to wait until monday. I assumed a bot would process my order and deliver my digital cards the moment they received payment.Roughly 180 dollars (source), rotation is happening soon though.I have 'some' amount of money and can feasibly get into mtgo. How much am I looking at to make a full boros burn deck?
It is possible to make back all your money and go inf. (it would take some dedications (intense grind) or a few months of victories) though if go by all the "inf" guides online its not easy... that said I'm under the impression it isn't that hard based on the comments from the guys on the Burn thread.
Literally every mtgo guide I read was just advertising their own site so I didn't read any. I probably got screwed on pricing too for all I know
