Loved this deck that went 7-3 in Standard at the Pro Tour and thought you guys would like it over here too. Its a sledgehammer type deck. [deck]Planeswalker (2) 2 Chandra, Pyromaster Creature (10) 4 Thunderbreak Regent 4 Stormbreath Dragon 2 Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury Sorcery (8) 3 Read the Bones 4...

against which decks would you bring in mastery of the unseen? besides the obvious control matchup.

do you bring it in vs slower abzan decks too? or what else?

if the zendicar fetches get reprinted in dragons, they will drop to around 10€ a piece, like the onslaught fetches.

It certainly doesn't hurt to pick them up since I'm assuming they're cheap, but we currently have no reason to suspect RB will be viable, and 3 Sarkhan's will be more than acceptable once SBD is gone. Lastly, we have an entire set based on dragons coming out next month to add more competition. well...

i really wonder if he switches the mastery with teh sieges or if he then plays 4 sieges and 3 mastery of the unseen oO.
also after sideboarding his deck will look more like traditional r/w lists i guess. since he has 3 stormbreath and 2 sarkhan in sb.

what do you guys think about end hostilities in sideboard vs midrange?

i mean we play sarkhan, chandra, outpost siege, which all survive end hostilites. phoenix does not really dies too.

dont you think it should be good enough as a 2-off?

basicly vs abzan you want to be the controldeck, since thanks to rhino and so on they have a pretty good matchup vs aggro. you want all the hard removal you can get. aka end hostilites, stance, chained if you dont have 4 already and so on.. vs abzan midrange you dont realy need your cheap burn spell...

I wouldn't play the deck without Brimaz, but that's just my opinion.
actualy i never saw brimaz doing anything, in every single game i played vs him. i dont think the 2 brimaz are that important to be honest too.

i already liked the chained-fetcher a lot in the few games i tested now :)

Heliod's Pilgrim. hmm is he really that good? i mean he is not a really impressive by himself, his his fetching cained to rocks so good? but when i think of it, he at least blocks tokens without dying and often you can play him, fetch the chained and use the chained on the same turn. seems like i m...

Never said that sbd is > sarkhan. I play 2 of each since 4 sarkhans is just too much :). I still haze roc. He is boring, slow, a shitty bird. Will never ever play him. Good thing we have alternatives which are not really worse :). And btw: it happens a lot that you have nothing on board vs all those...

dragon always is the better choice. Your argument is compelling. Go on... i just think, that stormbreath and sarkhan are both way better in our deck than roc. he is slow, clunky and has only 3 power. also i never play creatues without haste or immediate impact after 3 mana when im playing red. that...

Look at it this way. Roc is 6 power with evasion and conditional life gain for 5 mana. I'll definitely be playing it. its not. its 2 creatures, and both can be blocked and handled with seperatly. thats a huge difference. also its not even ALWAYS 2 creatures. even on a token deck there will be times...

Roc needs two cards (not counting Wrath) to deal with everything it represents so it generates card advantage by itself... it may be less aggresive but it is in no way a bad card compared to SBD. It may even have more lategame power. that is where i disagree, a 3/4 flyer without vigilance or someth...

i kinda think this list would be ten times better in mardu.
and why would anyone play roc over stormbreath or sarkhan... people still overestimate this card. its good in abzan, cause no alternatives... but stormbreath and sarkhan are just better..

yeah he doesnt, but sometimes it forces you into stupid attacks because you need the raid. also he only is 3/4 which means he cant even kill a rhino, if you dont block with both of them. stormbreath kills them anyway since prot from white and 4 damage. one of them do not even kill butcher. means you...

but i agree that stormbreath is very good in current meta. actualy only heroes downfall and stoke the flames kill him. he cant be blocked by mantis rider. can hold up siege rhinos and so on..
