WePick Mafia 2.0 - DAY 1

I'm thinking he's scum too.
I don't like Pedro's admission of active lurking either.

GR feels town, you feel town, Sexy Red feels town.

Null on Rez. Null on Ham.
Null on Kpaca but double voter puts him in lean town.
Tordeck could be Scum, but giving him benefit of doubt due to IRL pressure.

Think that's everyone.

Hunter, can you point me towards your scum games from MTGS? Strait-up link would be appreciated since I hate navigating that site from my phone.
I am on my phone too until after work (about 5 pm EST) so by about 6 I could have the links up. I've been Scum once, neutral once. Bravely Default where I was mafia and got lynched day one because of Generic and his meta argument, and Full Deck Mafia where I was a neutral SK that was the last Scum lynched when it got down to PoE and role gaming.

I will link for you later.

Ok. Fair enough! It's been fun playing with you guys, and I will definitely play again.

I have been waiting on Stardust to give me something more, but I never found another votable point to highlight. So I have been chilling waiting for the wagon on me to dissolve or go through.

Just for the record when I flip town, I get mislynched a lot. So don't feel too bad.

It wasn't great, or the way I hoped it went down, but does have some added benefits. Less likely for me to kill accidentally. That is of course reliant upon people believing me, and me surviving toDay.

Do Scum have watch at here? I'm wondering if they have the ability to coordinate right now.

WePick Mafia 2.0 - DAY 1

I claimed my role for a few reasons. Townies knowing what I am are far less likely to be murdered by me accidentally. I was in claim range after being run up. And to see who is terribly scared of my role. Scum won't like the idea that I will take whoever performs the nightkill out with me.

I will have to call you Sexy Red from here on out.

I don't believe you.

Confirm vote.
About the fact it would kill all players?

Why would it not? How would it distinguish between those targeting me?

Maybe I was wrong to write you off as town so early. It looks scummy to be so scared of the mechanic, because as scum it means it takes away the ability to nightkill me effectively, which makes you HAVE to lynch me. Unless an unsuspecting townie took the hit first and removed my ability, then you would be fine to go ahead and off me.

So please, enlighten me as to why you wouldn't believe me? :munch:

Hunt, also, where did you interact with a PGO before?
Never have in a real mafia game. They use the veteran role in Town of Salem, I had some fun playing with it in that game, which LOOSELY resembles mafia. I just liked the interaction it would likely have with the role madness game because I felt it was highly likely that people would have targeting roles, and I love seeing people flip, either alignment. It's my favorite part of the game.

Also to answer your other question, it states ANY AND ALL PLAYERS in my pm.

It doesn't matter whether or not others got both. It's explicitly possible from the OP, so no question there.

Hunter, why do you say that I'm specifically letting Pedro skate by? I don't recall you asking him anything this game either.
I chose Pedro because I can specifically remember that he has not done much of anything. Red and Rezombad I get mixed up for some reason, probably to do with the Re at the start of their names and my lack of familiarity with them. But I don't recall too much they've done either.

WePick Mafia 2.0 - DAY 1

Too early for claim. I support your decisions Manders.
Hey Hunter, you wrote "decisions" here instead of decision. Were you talking about more than her choice not to claim? What other Manders actions were you supporting?
You never got much of a response to your call for claims here, Hunter. What do you make of that? Why did you roll over as soon as Manders said no?
Can you explain this? Are people on MTGS routinely claiming stuff Day 1?
What makes you say that?
Why is a mod vote worse coming from kpaca?
Answers to Hunter's questions
1. When did you start playing mafia?
A few years ago. Can't remember without going back to MTGS to check. 2010? 2011?

2. Where was your home site when you started?
MTGS.

3. Who do you feel is the best analyst in this game?
Me. Probably Manders though. kpaca's good too.

4. Who do you feel is the best scum player in the game, or who would you be afraid of as scum in this game?
kpaca, I guess? Red is scary good at dodging my scumdar too.

5. Are you yourself better as town or scum?
About the same, but I prefer playing as town.

6. What is your favorite alignment to roll?
Serial Killer.

7. What game was your best performance?
It would be easier to list games I didn't play well. :? /ego
But what I was thinking was why bother answering at all if you didn't like the idea. Of the questions are that bad, why put forth the effort to still even partially comply? Didn't make sense.

If I'm scum to him why listen to my requests at all?
Did you read his responses? He was essentially pointing out why those questions make you scum.
I have already answered the underlined questions. I am not repeating myself.
I was supporting Manders general questioning.
I already mentioned that Manders had killed any further reactions I might have garnered from the line of questioning.
But if I am scum why would you bother answering my scummy questions at all, instead of just stating the reasons why I am scum? It still makes little sense. Same goes for you at this point.

I asked for Town Paranoid Gun Owner

I received Town Paranoid Gun Owner.
The first night I am targeted I will kill all players that targeted me that night. I win when there are no threats to the town left alive, or nothing can prevent this.

A coordinated mass claim would allow for us to test sketchy claims out tonight against my ability. Those that wouldn't comply would be put in the PoE pool for scum. Hence the mass claim suggestion.

The meta questions and general play questions were an attempt to learn more about you guys. Some of the information could be applied to the game, some could simply be applied to perspectives.

I would love to hear some more information about ANYONE else in the game. Manders and I have been the topics of conversation, meanwhile you are letting people like Pedro lurk on through day one.

Unless you don't want to test out my claim or let me live, than get to hammering.

Wrong. I voted you for your answers to your own questions, and also for the questions I didn't really answer. Your use of "interesting" in the post (implying something but not really saying anything) is... interesting.
You can't act that hypocritical without expecting to be called into question for it. So why was the interesting, interesting...?

But what I was thinking was why bother answering at all if you didn't like the idea. Of the questions are that bad, why put forth the effort to still even partially comply? Didn't make sense.

WePick Mafia 2.0 - DAY 1

Ok, since I am new to you guys, and still learning when it comes to this mafia stuff, let me ask some better questions to the general population and see where it gets us.

If you could, in your next post, answer these questions so I can get to know you all:
1. When did you start playing mafia?
2. Where was your home site when you started?
3. Who do you feel is the best analyst in this game?
4. Who do you feel is the best scum player in the game, or who would you be afraid of as scum in this game?
5. Are you yourself better as town or scum?
6. What is your favorite alignment to roll?
7. What game was your best performance?

This should help get some discussion rolling, shed some light on some people's skills, and be generally fun.

My answers:
1. January this year.
2. MTGS, or Sally as Manders calls it.
3. Not knowing you folks puts me at a disadvantage, but I will guess Stardust is quite capable of a player from the fact that he miss a lot and has a good idea of each one of your metas, aside from maybe Tordeck and Myself.
4. Well, this might go to Kpaca for me, because I actually believe he would read exactly the same as either alignment, and I tend to see his posts as incredibly townie.... Aside from modvoting, that's just dumb.
5. Way better as town in my eyes. Problem is everybody wants me dead day one. Scum know I'm mislynch fodder and town usually hate my style. Please go ahead and read my games from MTGS if you'd like, you will see every day one I get run up. It's like clockwork. As scum I run into the problem Manders mentioned in her giant post where I suck at lying, and I just wanna hide scared.
6. Love rolling town, less pressure. Had a lot of fun as that Neutral SK in the game with Manders fiance. But still, town gets my nod.
7. My best performance probably was that Neutral game, Full Deck mafia. I ate a nightkill night one as a VT in Avant-garde Mafia, which I was quite proud of.

Alright. Everyone else's turns.
Manders you already answered some of this in your big post where I got my inspiration from. Feel free to skip those you are content you answered.

I didn't know where we sat on the votecount, but Hunter voting for kpaca was meaningful since Hunter himself was under scrutiny. If Manders was correct that Hunter was scum, me making his vote more legitimate does give more information on other players. And, yes, kpaca can't be arsed to do much he doesn't want to do, but he does react to votes as much as the next guy, sometimes in an over-the-top angry kind of way.<snip>
The bolded. I asked you about it and I haven't seen a response. How was I under scrutiny when I voted Kpaca? How was under scrutiny at all, unless you are referencing Manders questioning, but then again that is hardly "scrutiny."

I have only played with him twice recently (both ongoing and he replaced out, which was sad), and read a few games on here that I mentioned with him in it, and maybe one other with him on MTGS.

So limited, compared to your experience with him I'm sure.

What should I have done with my vote instead, in your opinion?

How many people had responded before you changed your mind? Don't go check, off the top of your head.
You and Tordeck. 2... mwa ha ha...
It was also just a suggestion. I was not dead set on doing so, otherwise I would have started off with my claim.
Jesus Christ, use quotes.

MTGS is full of lazy people who don't want to WORK to win the game. No claims. (I miss the good 'ol days :( )

Everyone follows me like a bunch of puppies? Provide examples from this game.

You can think it's bullshit all you want. Who did you think I was referring to?

Your reaction to the revelation has been very telling.
Vote: Huntzilla

How does it being kpaca make the mod vote worse? (Nice OMGUS at the end there, though.
I can't provide examples from this game for the puppy comment... But I can point out the number of votes you garnered for no reason. That points to people centering around you to feel you out, which in turn will allow them to sheep you later should you "pan out" as town to them.

I actually figured you had meant Tordeck.

Kpaca should know better than to make mod votes... it is an old RVS tell that always gets called out.
Thanks! I mean I tempered the OMGUS a little by just saying I WOULD kill you. Not that I thought you were scum. Because I don't think you are, I think you're just wrong.

Mtgs meta is claim happy right now, wanted to test waters and see where we stood. Your flat out no statement killed any other reactions I might get because everyone follows you like a bunch of puppies around here.
Literally shits and gigs. I think it's bullshit you thought I was scum at that point in the game. Liar.

I'm up to like 8 games, all on MTGS.

I'd kill Kpaca now that I know it is him. That makes the mod vote that much more worse in my eyes. Maybe you depending on where you go with this "I knew hunt was scum" lie you are rolling with.

So, a little modgaming for shits and gigs...

There is most likely 2 scum, 1 "other aligned" alignment, correct? I mean, why have the option for other alignments if he isn't going to choose them. We could do a claim of the alignment people sent to Dechs... Or we could claim the role as well.
What are people feeling? Any claims, no claims, wait a day before we get into bullshit lazy play...?
I'd be willing to go first.

We could also just claim whether we got the full role we submitted or not. Bound to be some of us who did.
