Did you get chance to ask him Zem?I'll ask him tonight, he's on if my testing buddies on occasion irl (Matt Rogers, NZ #2).

While I remember - Aura Barbs is good value against Bogles
YES! They are incredibly helpful and informative, please continue posting like this! I can then provide feedback on the plans (when I get my deck back next weekend) and this will allow us to refine and tweak to prefection!P.S. Do these long post with explanation help? Or should I save everyone time and just stop?
I was just looking over the meta on MTGO Goldfish when something really important occured to me that I've always overlooked - the lists on here don't actually give any information on how popular a deck is, only how many finishes it has made. I doubt anyone else will have overlooked this but I thought I'd share just in case
Excellent post MDU I'll be playing more myself again in a week or so and I'm 100% behind getting an in depth match up and SB guide in place. I play exclusively on MTGO so my focus is on building a solid 75 that doesn't fold to the random decks out that you run into. Regardless of our individual meta choices it'll be great if we all work together on this as Zem's Standard Burn list has really benefitted from testing and refinement and I'd to get this list tweaked to a similar level
[deck]Sideboard[/deck]
I'd run this SB -I do
still however need you just to click on the videos though it gives me extra money and feed my ego
I've put the playlists on a loop for you, if you listen carefully you'll hear the steady chink of coins dropping into your YouTube money boxMDU's Rx Burn 22/03/141) Nothing is wrong with Blaklanner or
Khaospawnspawn reverie of anti-Pod and Robot cards (disregarding the fringe decks) heck going into MOCS I'll most likely do the same.
Agree
2) Why only 3x Grim Lavamancer? its because unless the first one dies I can also never keep them both active.
This makes sense though I'm still open to running 4
3) Why only 3x Searing Blaze? because I hate Combo and Control... BECAUSE I HATE COMBO AND CONTROL and BECAUSE I HATE COMBO AND CONTROL !!!
Again makes sense
4) Why Keldon Marauders? I didn't want to run 4th [card]Searing
Blaze[/card] and 4th Grim Lavamancer MU I needed something which helps the creature MU without being dead against control - Keldon just happen too fits that role perfectly.
I really like the flexibility Marauders offers against both creatures and control. This kind of flexibility is what I'm looking for throughout the 75.
5) How do I feel about 19 lands, it almost got me killed one game.... but I've been playing with 19 lands for the longest time pre-DtR days so I'm not overly concerned.
Sb Choices:
I splashed Green solely for Destructive Revelry it good because it also hit Twins and Robots and all the fringe builds at the same time
I'm liking the G splash a lot for exactly the same reason. We lose Boros Charm by not running W but with some work on the manabase - [card]
Sacred Foundry[/card], Clifftop Retreat, Dragonskull Summit we might still be able to squeeze it in
The Relic of Progenitus is for graveyard decks and Jund (primarily)
Not convinced this is needed with Charms available.
The Rakdos Charm is just great I don't need to explain it
The Anger of the Gods is for Pod and Zoo
I think Ensnaring Bridge offers more flexibility though Anger is undoubtedly better in some scenarios.
The Flames of the Blood Hand is for control
The 4th Searing Blaze is in the SB because
its the forth Searing Blaze
Cards I'm not 100% happy with:
1 Relic of Progenitus
The 3rd Flames of the Blood Hand
The 4th Destructive Revelry
The 4th Searing Blaze
Makes sense to me
While I don't mind my 19 land base it wouldn't be above me to cut 1x Shard Volley or 1x Keldon Marauders for the 20th land.
Also makes sense but I've never had any problems with 19 land and I've died to flood far more than to screw.
Cards I'm interested in testing:
[card]
Shattering Spree[/card] like Blak said its crushed Robots, but with 7 hate cards is it really needed?
I think it's too narrow especially with Charm and Revelry (or Smash To Smithereens available
Searing Blood I saw it in Khaospawn list and almost feel in love (I wish it could hit Zoo), DIE Pod and Bots DIE!!!
Satyr Firedancer like Blak said its solid vs removal lite decks (my only issue is that running Dancer with grim is just begging for a Orzhov Pontiff blowout...)
I think both are great cards but are too narrow given our aim with the deck
Ensnaring Bridge good against creatures... lazer vouches for it, ham does as well (dies too decay and doesn't stop robots....)
It's
not perfect but it is better across the board than Anger
Abrupt Decay can't be countered - hits everything in RUG Twins and is decent vs other MUs
I'm very keen to try this, I the versatility and the surprise factor too
Back to Nature pure Enchantment Hate...
Overkill if we have Revelry and possibly Decay
If you were to use my build as a base what would you cut and what would you change? (once we can get a happy 75 together I'll write up a SB guide with explanations).

Excellent post BL!
Current MTGO meta is
Twin 12.97%
Melira Pod 11.7%
Affinity 10.6%
Storm 7.28%
Jund 5.38%
UWR Control 4.75%
Scapeshift 3.96%
Hatebears 2.69%
RG Tron 2%
Ad Nauseum 2%
UR Delver 2%
so that's what we need to tune our SB against Everything else is less than 2% of the meta, including Zoo apparently. I personally really like the G splash for Destructive Revelry over Smash (I can see trying Abrupt Decay over Combust too) as I really like my SB cards to have as much flexibility as possible.

Excellent Check these for a starting point -Probably going to play this in the MOCs, anyone got a solid decklist? I liked the:
4 Goblin Guide
3 Grim Lavamancer
1 Figure of Destiny
4 Vexing Devil
split.
Is Searing Blood playable in the 60? If not, in the 70?
And [url=http://www._Batutinha_ take on Modern Burn:
[deck]Br Burn[/deck]
Game plan: Fuck Leylines and Boogies we'll lose anyways, just pack hate for Affinity, Twins, Pods and Graveyards.
What do I think is wrong with the deck, 4x Grim Lavamancer is way too many, you don't want to see more then 1 (usually) since you'll never have the food to last him (I'm aware that they're boss vs Affinity and Pod) I wish we could go back to our old DrS and Grim split but that isn't possible. Thus I suggest 2x Spark Elemental over 1x Shard Volley and 1x Grim Lavamancer (Sparky helps complement our VD and GG starts) I have no other complaints.
3cc Burn is a nice option as well esp. if Zoo dies down a little (which is has) and if we're packing 8x Robot hate I don't think we'll care about Robots....
starcitygames.com/article/28041_Dissecting-The-Dirty-South.html]this[/url] is the Sully list with the split you like. He runs Blood for Robots.
Thanks for posting I like the list, it's only 7 cards away from the first post ban 75 you posted here
2-1 Vs UW - 5 damage for R is quite good
2-0 Vs Storm - 5 damage for R is quite good
2-0 Vs B Discard (homebrew?)
0-2 Vs Affinity - needed to draw a 3rd land G2, sided in 2 to go up to 19 for Searing Blaze, Rakdos Charm and Revelry
1-2 Vs WBG homebrew - 5 damage for R is quite good But not as good as T1 Leyline
2-1 Vs Kibler Zoo - 5 damage for R is quite good
I don't like it as much a the lists we've been playing but Thunderous Wrath is very good (and the 3 Faithless Looting worked well for
getting rid of any from my opening hand) and I'm now wondering if we could work Thunderous Wrath into the old list?

This is without doubt the craziest list I've seen of yours If this was posted by anyone else I'd dismiss it on sight; it looks horrible with 4 Thunderous Wrath and 3 Faithless Looting but based on the fact you've posted soooo many excellent lists I'll try it before I pass judgementReally stupid T3-4 win build (everything is 1cc):Could be so bad that its good
The results from the Pro Tour have me wondering if it's worth running Boros Charm and if so do we need to run more fetch lands - 1/2 Marsh Flats? My initial thoughts are that while Boros Charm is an excellent card I can't say I've missed it and I can't see the need for more fetches even without DRS in the deck. What do you think guys?
In the interests of having everything in the same place and because I like stuff like this here's the data and the other lists
In the meta game analysis out of 100 matches Burn recorded an average win% of 48.67. Dominik Prosek, whose list Khaos has kindly posted above, was the best placed Burn player, finishing 27th on 22 points in the Constructed rankings. Jaspe
Johnson-Epstein also finished with 22 points for 32nd place and Ogie Jaro and Stephen Neal both finished on 18 points. My interest in these matters does not extent to scouring the results to find out exactly what they all won and lost to While there seems to be a fair bit of room for personal preference; Prosek's list differs by 6 cards from Epstein and Neal's (who both ran the same MD) and by 9 from Jaro's, assuming I can count, one thing all of the lists agree on is the inclusion of Boros Charm (Prosek was the only one not to run Lightning Helix too) and no-one is running G for Destructive Revelry (which I really like).

Stephen Neal
Ogie Jaro
Yeah Looting is too cute. I really like it but I think the slot can be better used.
I've edited my SB - dropped Bridge against Affinity (overkill) and put it in against Living End (glaring omission) I've no idea why I typed it up as coming in Vs Fae, I've never brought it in!
I really like Shard Volley I like 3 (don't like to see too many in my opening hand) but I can see dropping the Looting and going to 4, especially with 20 land
Lists are up, some strange choices IMHO - check Dominik Prosek, Ogie
Jaro, Jasper Jonson-Epstein and Stephan Neal

I've been playing the deck in 2 mans. I know it's bad for EV and for meta MDU but time and it's allowed me to get a feel for the different match ups. I'm still really enjoying the deck and my current 75 looks like this. The MD seems pretty fixed with 2/3 'flex' slots - the Faithless Looting, the Flame Javelin and possibly the 20th land; I'm very
interested in how you do with 19 land MDU. I've seen both sides of Faithless Looting now, when it swaps you 2 land for 2 burn spells it's amazing but it's not a good top deck and when you draw it in your opening hand it can sit there for the whole game. 1 is enough and I can see dropping it all together. The singleton Flame Javelin has been good so far, 4 to the dome is always good and as it improves Twin G1. I could see going to 2 depending on what the meta turns out like. In the SB Ensnaring Bridge has been excellent, [card]Hell's Thunder[/card] is great tech against Wall Of Omens MDU and I like the flexibility of Torpor Orb over Combust.

SB Plan
Thanks Khaos I value your input, your experience of playing the deck and insights into the match ups are invaluable. It also means we get to work on the same deck too which I like What's your current 75? I've checked the thread and your last one is pre-ban. Wat have you replaced DRS with?
I really the Dancer (largely based on how pleasing it is to CRUSH MonoU Devo with St Burn) but I'm thinking he may be too slow and vulnerable here? Against Zoo for example T2 would you rather dome them for 6 (setting up a T3 Bridge or Anger which they can't interact with) or just kill 2 of
their guys (effectively gaining 4-6 life) or play the Dancer? Potentially he's awesome but if you do play him and they just kill him and keep attacking you're fucked You can't hide behind him like a Bridge either Thoughts guys?
This is worth a look - I faced the GR Zoo list, (and a variant with Lightning Mauler and Keldon Marauders) it wasn't very pleasant and BTE totally wrecked me. I didn't see Anger though
If this is the Twin list you asked me about MDU I agree, it's horrible!

Bridge is much better all round as it works against EVERYTHING, Anger is more situational. I'm liking Anger as it wrecks Zoo and I've played them (and other Zoo/Aggro variants) and I like the card Looking at the online meta it's a good bet too - Robots, Pod, Zoo ...
It's a meta call and with what I'm seeing now I'll stick with Anger but overall I think Bridge is better, if that makes sense

Yeah of course It's still pretty much your last list except for the Faithless Looting I think.@Zerburn: Can you post where your 75 is at now, and your though on some of the MUs?
[deck]Rx Aggro[/deck]
I put in the Thunder and Hellspark because your meta game analysis and reaction speed is generally still waaay ahead of mine so following your lead seems a smart move and because I really the cards I can see Marauders MD as they are hard hitting unopposed and excellent against Zoo.
I'm still figuring out a lot of the match ups and I've yet to face Affinity, Twin and Pod. I've played UWR once and I lost to variance so didn't get much of a handle on the match up.
Tron seems favourable, they do a lot of durdling I brought in Revelry for Searing Blaze.
Zoo seems a bit of a coin toss. We can beat their good draws and vice versa. Tarmagoyf and Geist can be a beating, Helix is VERY annoying. Marauders would be nice.
I took out GG for Anger and Searing Blaze.
I'm not sure about Merfolk. I lost 1-2 to them ,winning G1 easily with a decent draw, G2 he had an answer for everything and then losing a very close G3 on a misplay I brought in Anger for Skullcrack and wished I'd brought in Revelry as his Spellskite and Vial where nasty in G3 but I'm not sure if this is correct.
Scapeshift is a race. I just try to play around the counters and leave 'Crack mana up for the Baloth. I took out Searing Blaze for Hellsparks.
Faeries seems favourable but annoying, what with removal, counters, Tectonic Edge and Spellstutter's. Bitterblossom has helped me win every game I may just have been lucky and played people who just started with the deck though.
I'm really enjoying the deck, hoping we can get a full SB plan together over the next few weeks
EDIT - I lost to Soul Sisters but had blanked it from memory, we need LOTS of luck for this one
I can go with Revelry over Smash, it's only 1 less damage for the added flexibility thought I do know what you mean about cutting Smash
I've played a few matches with the list and I am currently terrible at Modern! I'll get myself swiftly up to speed but in the meantime if you feel kind and like sharing where you're at so far with the SB plan I would be most grateful
