@LD - hit me up on MTGO - I have all the important decks on there (important = runs Mountains ) and am happy to lend you cards. All of us are happy to lend you cards! Then you can simply play the list and either win lots and buy it yourself or decide it's a pile
In Legacy Red Burn is playable right now, thanks to Eidolon
In Modern Red Burn is playable as it can simply snag free wins but RDW is a MUCH better deck
If I wanted to build up tix on a budget I'd either borrow a deck from us or play MonoU in
Pauper (which I think Z said he'd lend ya?)

@ Khaos - you are on fire (pun intended!) Sir - consistently excellent posts on multiple threads on both MTG and life/personal stuff Your hard work and life changes suit you Sir, it's a pleasure to know you!
@LP - I don't like Dancer here - way too slow and fragiel IMHO. I'm in agreement with Khaos that the list & SB is tight as is and pretty much spot on for the current meta. I can see a case for the Pillar and even the Javelin tweaks proposed and discussed on here but splashing W and running Dancer seems a bridge (or 2!) too far to me
@ PresidentMustache - the SB plan is [url=viewtopic.php?p=238399#p238399]here[/url:
p32bl8o9] - it was intended as a starting point but I'm happy to say that it's a fairly solid one given that Khaos found it acceptable

I'm really enjoying playing this deck! I'm aware of the wisdom of running a list 'as is' before tweaking I've been running Pillar since it was first suggested in the thread and I like it, a lot I also like having the 3rd and 4th in the SB over the Dragon's Claw though I'm not sure this is optimal, especially given how much Red/Burn gets played on MTGO (even if it doesn't place I see it a lot).
Heal says that Molten Rain (UWR Control) and Rift Bolt (pressure Vs Twin though he say's it's not that good) are the flex slots in the deck. So far I've found Molten Rain amazing and Rift Bolt somewhat underwhelming. I ran LP's list with Flame Javelin and really liked it
I also
tried Magus Of The Moon MD MD as per LP's suggestion. I found 3 copies was enough but although the card good I'd be hesitant to change from Heal's set up based on my own comparatively few games. For ease of reference here's the list again
of the meta) - thanks to MDU for your posts, I've referred to them a lot and unsurprisingly I agree with 99% I've given my reasonings, mostly and I've expanded the list of match ups. I still consider myself a Modern newbie so feedback is VERY welcome guys

Me I've only played Burn in Modern before and consider myself pretty much a total Modern newbie but I REALLY like the deck (great synergies, fun to play, classic RDW) and am slowly starting to slowly gain an understanding of the format I'm currently here -Everyone besides myself and LP, who has actually played with the Heal list?
[deck=Nicholas Heal's RDW, tweaked by LP]
Creature (20)
4x Eidolon of the Great Revel
1x Figure of Destiny
4x Goblin Guide
3x Grim Lavamancer
3x Magus of the Moon
1 x Vexing Devil
4x Mogg Fanatic
Instant (10)
2x Flame Javelin
4x Lightning
Bolt
4x Searing Blaze
Sorcery (6)
4x Molten Rain
2x Pillar of Flame
Artifact (2)
2x Shrine of Burning Rage
Land (22)
4x Arid Mesa
2x Keldon Megaliths
12x Mountain
4x Scalding Tarn
Sideboard (15)
2x Dismember
2x Pillar of Flame
4x Pyrite Spellbomb
2x Relic of Progenitus
3 x Vexing Devil
2x Smash to Smithereens[/deck]
Magus is in the MD for testing but It might be better to run 4 VD in the MD and 3 MotM (or 2 Blood Moon / 1 Shattering Spree) in the SB. Searing Blaze has been great but Searing Blood may be better.
