I don't believe that was the issue cause I think it was just an excuse to not reveal their source. Every time I applied somewhere, it felt like someone was pulling my chances of getting hired. At a few departments, it was obvious and done in a rude manner. I know it's an underhanded action, because people with serious criminal records and poor college history are getting the job. Oh well, guess the cabal wins this time. Its now the second thing I think about in the morning and weird cause my past job has said nothing for a long time on a rehire. My classes just started and I really enjoy them. It's funny cause students and other staff keep thinking I am a student. My students are shocked when I get up from the student chairs to teach.

I would talk on here more, but the career field I was in took a light out me. There is no freedom of speech (Anything I said on here was not the reason for not getting hired) and I feel sick at my stomach when I see a badge anymore. The what could have been just hurts to much to think about anymore. Just really hurts that a few people worked so hard to ruin my career and not one department asked why this was happening to me at every employment opportunity. I start tomorrow as college professor and I am way happier. Better pay, benefits, hours, and more time with my fiancee'. I don't think my previous employer is ever going to reply to me on the rehire to save my police career. Will just have to reinvent myself.
I hardly ever play magic anymore cause of lack of funds and time. My fiancee and I are still discovering new places, things, and likes about each other. It's enough for me right now and I am finally happy. I miss you guys on DTR and will check in from time to time.

One aspect of the academy that I am addicted to is the reality based training using simunition. They don't hurt to bad, and you shoot real guns at each other.
Great for training and teaching you lessons you won't forget. Also, kills that fear of being hit when starring down barrel of real gun. Air soft just does not compare. Although 12 gauge and 223 hurt as we usually use 9mm. You also get to see how folks really do in a firefight. Very expensive for the department but saves lives with the training.

Would like to play more, but I only have a few weeks left in the academy till I am on patrol.

On to other news. You know what kills a magic player's ability to play? Money, no. Boring sets, no. Time, kind of. Getting your ass handed to you by Zem, no that is a lesson. This.... And I am more than happy to give up that time. How do you guys find time to play with job and significant other?

Please add tongue studs to your list. I don't get piercings....at all. Since I have horse; every time I see one that has loop, I want to put attach a lead rope to it. In boy scouts, a dude in OA was the piercing expert (covered) and he passed out from staying up to late for 2 days worth. We attached every lead rope we could find in the horse barn to him. Looked like a sci-fi scene of horror. He was pissed and weirded out. Never saw him again. I found out later that someone went back in and carefully put a magnet (one for picking up nails) on his crotch. How this person knew to do that is scary. There were 4 girls working as camp counselors, but I don't know how
they swung as they were not on any standards list of any guy. Are these piercings magnetic or is this a myth for the non piercing folks?

Master of the Feast might see play when the Desecratio Demon goes. Also, the bestow one is good to.

Prophetic Flamespeaker is good but terrible top decked late game with no protection. It's a big if as his attack is only 2 without help. He is easily chump blocked.

Brain Magoot is a pick up.

Athreos is my favorite god of the block, but Thassa is very good as well. I bought 2 of the BW god.

Temples seem good, but the next set might nerd RU, WB, and RW again. GW, UW, UB, GB, and UG might be worth having in play set. Mana confluence should be picked up just for standard needs.

for long term. Been playing with him a while and he is so useful. As a commander, an equipment support deck would be cool. The 4 toughness is so relevant.

Thanks Jack! That article was very informative. Vendilion Clique is my favorite card right now. I faced BR Vamps from innistrad while playing Faeries. She turn one dropped Cavern of souls. More than half my control are counters. Shit. I had been drawing discard and kill spells early so I was ok, but she was drawing a vampire soon. She does and it's Vampire Aristocrat. It hits play and I am dead without thinking it through. My hand is 2 cryptic command, 2 V. Clique, and counter spells. I realize the answer is in my hand. Cryptic to bunco the bitch + Draw and Cast V. Clique it away. She does it again next turn and I repeat the process. She mana floods while I coast to victory with V Clique + Bitterblossum.

Cryptic Command and V. Clique are just to good.

I actually prefer quick games instead of 2 hour games for EDH. I think the most hated combos are Land destruction and turn control. Infinite turn combo is a close third.

Extort is really amazing in group games and seems to be ok in the minds of players.

My friend and I both play Nekusar commander to keep the hate under control. It is a fast game and they can't kill both of us before we get infect online....Glissening oil on Nekusar, winds of change, play howling mine (before or after winds of change), and die on your draw step!. People don't realize that Nekusar decks don't attack normally. I can, but defense is way better for my strategy. Thus new players leave me alone and die cause of it.

Kaalia also gets serious hate from fear of super angels. It gets murdered fast in group games.

Another guy plays Cen Triplets as his commander. Hate that card BAD. Most of the generals I see are: Gerad (Golgari), Teeg, Krenko, Kiki Jiki, Wort-Boggart Auntie, Doran, and few others I can't recall.

We don't give people shit about their commanders, but it is acceptable to group rape a deck.

Went 3-1 with BW midrange. My pre-orders are still in the mail, thus I had be improvise. There are 3 burn/aggro Red(X) decks, and I have no answers to them. I threw 3 Fiendsayer Pallidon in the side board and 3 Brimaz main board. I ate their lunch. Fought 2 of them (won), a UW control (won), and another fucking UW control for first (lost). Their card draw to way to overpowered in comparison to my discard. He also always gets nut hands.

One guy bought a box and opened a god pack. He was very confused as he knew nothing about the Wizards announcement.

Went 4-1 at FNM in Corpus Christi, Texas. Visiting family and took advantage of the near by card shop. I played BW midrange and really stomped. First was Bullshit as Was serious mana fucked. Only saw 2 lands first game and just 3 second game. The rest of the matches were not even competitive. Blood Baron is so good right now. I now main board x1 Revoke Existence and it pays off big time.

Saw the rest of the spoiled cards. Was left wonder where the rest of playable cards were? I really thought Daybreak Coronet was going to make the set. To many enchantments are WAY to over costed. White got an early christmas for sealed/draft.

Sheep are dumber yet, seriously, I grew up a farmboy, this is a fact I have learned the hard way. Sheep farmers have to take into account for a few of them trampling each other to death even in large enclosures with a relatively small herd. At our county stock show, we kept having the retards die at the show or after from a strange sickness. It turns out the were licking the copper water pipes near their pens and died of copper poisoning.

I never raised them, but raised Cattle that became Steers. My only stupid story was of my first steer, Lighting. He was a white charlie. Sadly, I did not have the budget to get him a friend (second Steer). He was lonely and his friend became my Border Collie Dog, Tex. When He got big, I noticed my neighbor was giving me the Finger when I took my steer for walks to practice showmanship. WTF? We are good friends? While I was in class, she would work with her cutting horses. My Steer
would ran after them along the border fence and MOOO at them like a dog. Her horses were terrified of Lightning. Folks riding horse by my place would panic as a white ball of fury would charge them Mooing for all his worth. When I am home, he was a perfect gentleman. I was told about a month before the Stock shows. Had no idea he was a hell raiser, and I was thrilled with that. I hate cutting horse people. Smug bastards. Only thing worse are reining folks. English riders (We call them fruit riders, try an english saddle as it feels like riding a banana) fall into a different category of stupid for me.
He actually ruined 4 $50,000 Cutting horses as they were now terrified of cattle. Thus I discovered my steer was getting the middle finger, not me.

Deer are really stupid and very close to being a disaster. Why?
n1. Axis deer are pushing White tail and others out of their territories. Axis eat grass, forbs, and brows. Deer only eat Brows and Forbs.
2. Spike bucks are genetic defect. Technically they are retards. They always win the breeding rights as i spear beats a basket every time. By the way, if there are spike bucks; there are spike does. The genetic defect is being strongly pushed without notice.
3. With the shortage of food, deer are being forced to eat in unsafe areas. Examples are drainage ditches or stag net water ponds. When flooding occurs after strong droughts. Protein prion diseases strongly affect them causing the deer to make very poor choices or appear rot have seizures or unable to walk properly. It is rare, but the disease can take a week or a year or more to affect them.
4. White tail deer are not designed to live in large herds. During indian times, there were no trees like there are now in Texas and the west. Trees were in narrows or near water only as the Indians set the prairie on fire
every year to raise buffalo grass for the buffalo. Fire puts nitrogen in the soil that cause vegetation to grow very strongly. Most deer herds during that time very small. A group six was big, not 38 or more I see now.
5. Why are axis and white tail deer dumb? No predators beside chrome poisoning. In india axis are extremely difficult to hunt, but here, something was lost in translation. No tigers. Most Mountain lions here eat house pets, but a few use fences to hunt Deer. How? They sit in a tree were the deer walk past. The lion jumps out of tree to scare the deer. The deer go wild and run into the fence, and the lion ounces effortless onto a perfectly downed animal. Other options for the lion is road or fence shopping. Road kill is easy to explain. Fence shopping is hilarious. Have you ever noticed the top of a fence that has 2 stretched wires is bent out of shape? White tail and especially axis (they run and jump differently) can get caught in the 2 wires if they jump to low and get a leg caught in the
2 wires creating a twist. It becomes a snare of sorts. Over the past 3 years, I have cut out over 2 dozen that I know of or seen. I have found blood and pieces before I got there, thus mister lion got there before I did. The horses also like they have seen a ghost. Thus the deer are so dumb cause they have NO real fear besides stupidity.

As far as Standard goes, he's probably going to be more useful in a little dudes deck that just want to attack. You can inflict more damage than you'll take from him by attacking. And then your opponent will take some damage from trying to stop your onslaught if they play some removal spells.

They have to kill it or take more damage. "Gullible and expendable, that's a 2'fer."

Slaughter Games is a reasonable answer to Scapeshift and the Ad Nauseam combo decks in Modern, since they're over-reliant on a single card win condition. Nothing in Standard is built that way, so it's a bad choice.

If multiple turn deck with Sage of Hours pops up; it might be a thing? Still a very narrow need.

Detention Sphere was unbeatable for me because Phoenix is a large part of my gameplan. Everything else was easy for me to kill.

I've abandoned the deck anyway.

Same here as GW midrange has 3 players in my local FNM.

I have been testing B(r) devotion and it rapes UW. I ran 4 Slaughter Games in the side board. I usually named Elspeth, Sun's Champion first. I get access to Dreadbore, Anger the Gods, and burn spells. Oddly, I would always loose to GW midrange. Slaughter games might make a come back. You never know.
