MDU's Rx Builds

Guys, i really appreciate your work on red builds. Today i should have played in a preptq with a mono red list featuring 4 abbot and 4 ire shaman (similar to the one mdu posted a while ago), but after staying awake until almost dawn debating the last few slots i then didn't wake up in time. Yes i'm ...

I suggest giving a chance to kessig forgemaster.... i'm playing a list very similar to the one in the above post and my 2 drops creatures are 4 forgemaster 2 abbot, since abbot is not excellent in a higher curve list and forgemaster is very good against other creature decks (trades with sylvan advoc...

What do you think about the future of burn after the last unbans? I personally believe the deck is still good, but slightly less than before the eldrazi era. Now we lose an effective bye (tron that will have very few players) and our matchups against Ux control decks become tricky because they have ...

Fallout is spectacular against robots, elves, merfolks, and decent against infect/company. I would not be too worried of killing my own creatures, because in the matchups where fallout come in, either you cut eidolon and maybe guide, or fallout is so strong that destroys the opponent completely.

I just don't think is possible to run the leonin arbiter package + blood moon+ kiki jiki. How are you gonna build your manabase with 4 colorless ghost quarters, very little fetches or none at all, plus needing to always have one basic plain out in case you play blood moon, and triple red for kiki ji...

This way i can take less damage, but then again i don't play firewalker in my board.... i think your manabase is fine because you need WW postboard. I'm not sold on ensnarin...

Now that twin is banned, maybe a boros shell with restoration and kiki jiki has a real reason to exist. Also eldrazi displacer is a very powerful card that i would like to play, but it heavily conflicts with my inclination towards playing maindeck blood moons XD probably i should just drop moons so ...

I think the change is good for us. Obviously amulet was a shitty matchup, and twin was always a scary card to face because especially in game one we could not do a lot if they killed us turn 4. The biggest benefit for us is that g/r tron will probably see much more play without twin in the format.

I am not a fan of lists with the full set of guides, spears, nacatls, eidolons + some lavamancers for 2 reasons. My inclination is to bolt the dork almost always, just because as you said, you may get a free win if he kept a shaky hand based on that creature to help with his mana. Red blasts have never been really good in burn because you don't want reactive spells. What are you gonna do, always keep one red mana open because they may cast counterbalance? Black Vise is fantastic if you have it turn 1 on the play. In this scenario it deals at least 5 damages (unless you are playing against something that dumps his hand with 0 cost spells). The problem is, in any other situation it is a very bad card. Even turn 1 if you are on the draw black vise could...
