Shattering spree can answer chalice of the void because copies are not cast and is versatile because you can cast it for any amount of mana. Smash to smithereens fits in the aggressive gameplan of the deck (although the dig/snap lists are less aggressive) and is a card i like because i can side it in when i think my opponent will probably have some random annoying artifacts but i know it could stay in my hand for a while without targets .... the possibility of dealing 3 damages makes me feel less bad to side in a card that could be dead. Shatterstorm is obviously the best against affinity but 4 mana are 4 mana. If you fear ensoul artifact on a darksteel citadel you may consider shattering blow, which is also a nice answer to wurmcoil engine.

I would like to build this deck because at the moment it seems the best in the format to me, but i'm afraid that next bans could give U/R delver bad surprises. If they ban treasure cruises, would dig through time be a fine replacement or is cruise a lot better in this deck ?

A friend of mine runs a swiftspear list with a 1-of dynacharge maindeck and a couple mutagenic growths ..... dynacharge wins games in some occasions an i think could be a nice surprise tech.... i don't like growth but it can save swiftspears/flipped delvers from a bolt.

He also runs unified will in sideboard, but really it can be sided in safely in very few matchups.

By the way, i'm writing here because i would like to play u/r delver when i manage to trade my tarmogoyf for 4 snaps and acquire the scalding tarns... in the mean time i learn from you all XD

I agree that the "busted" card is glittering wish, but i don't think that it is likely to be banned because it is not the card that make the deck so fast.
And no, just 1 for 1'ing in the early turns won't do nothing, but if you pair a couple of removal/counterspells/lock pieces with a decent clock you will win.

Also straight burn has a good matchup against ascendancy -- the problem is not the deck itself because it can be beaten , but the fact that it can win consistently on turn 3 and turn 2 with a god hand, and this breaks modern rules according to wizards.

I think this deck has a slightly favourable matchup against jeskai ascendancy.... fast clock + removal for all their mana dorks (except caryatid) + counterspells should be a nice mix.
