For that specific tournament I would switch the Firewalker to dragon's claw. Easier on the pain of the lands and there was an abundance of burn. I also think I would like an additional deflecting palm as it is an addition card against obnoxious decks like bogles. So in essence ditch the 3 firewalker...
Hey fellow red mages. I haven't posted in a long time due to inability to play mtgo (children). I still play modern on paper with a local community. I recently took burn to a top 8 at Michigan SCG states recently. I went through the swiss portion dropping just 2 games one to burn mirror and one to l...
LP, I like revolution's board for the most part. I feel really naked playing a red deck with only 2 skullcrack though. Maybe cut a titan's strength and an eidolon to round out the cracks. However, if gary's days are numbered based on the PT results we may not need as many cracks.

USA shit the bed against portugal. That should have been the win and in. Now we have to post a result with the Germans. I am assuming we can just draw into the top 16 together
I virtually ran shota's list with more mortars at GP chicago. I ended up 3-3 drop I had two round bye so I ended up 5-3. Things I learned, flamespeaker is the truth. This guys wins games on the spot. I also learned that the field was VERY prepared for us. I played a ChannelFB guy on Bg devotion with...
Anyone testing the Soviet Russia burn list that won GP Moscow. I have been doing very well with it. It is good, I do not like the fated conflag in the board though. It could easily just become a 2nd chandra.
Is anyone even trying out the RDW lists from sandydogmtg and the like? The aggro devotion lists? I like them a lot, however if there is an influx of mono U due to the last open, I will be wary of playing it. I hope the invitational this weekend has them do very poorly so they go off the radar for GP...
Firedrinker satyr is a thing, not having any threat against the control deck allows them to durdle to infinity and then just bend us over. Making your deck more threat dense seems appropriate. I still don't hate keening though. He is better topdeck late.

It almost always depends on deck and hand for me. If you are a 'slower' deck like twin, control, etc. you always kill the dork. With an aggressive approach like Burn or even the new RDW it is much more debatable. Turn 1 GG is still my preferred play in format.

Kiki pod needs to be on that list. Grinding against the pod decks is really going up your magic IQ because they have so many decision you will need to be able to play around.
Did well with the shouta list again. 4-0 daily yesterday. I did cut a reprisal and added an addition mizzium mortar. MU included: Junk constellation 2-0, Red white devotion 2-1 (he had the nuts one game that deck is awesome sometimes), Jund Monsters 2-0, and Finals was RW burn mirror 2-0, I got more...
brainsick: I tried bringing him against Junk constellation game 3 after getting smited by blood baron game 2. My thinking was at least I can block and after firststrike damage kill the fucker off. This was after I was a dolt and brought in reckoners game 2 and got triple trigger doomwake giant to ob...
I 3-1ed the daily today with the shouta list. I liked it somewhat. I feel that flamespeaker is okay. I am just not sure how to use him well. The reckoners seemed borderline. I missed mizzium mortars badly. Lost to blood baron x 2 against baleful playing junk constellation. I am still on board with Y...
@MDU: if you get to the dragon's claw it is a bye. Also early shrine helps some. They are just faster in regards to the burn matchup. The relics seem like flex slots in the board if you ask me. I think they seem like over kill against storm. I do like they against any snap deck. I haven't tried them...
I didn't get to them a ton. When I did get them they were great are eating removal so I could f/u with a young pyro. I just figure more pressure to force your opponent to waste resources and that is always good.
Cadillac Michigan 1k GPT write up for great victory and justice. [deck]Zemanjaski's post journey burn with Longtoe's minor tweaks The Fuel 4 Sacred Foundry 4 Temple of Triumph 9 Mountain 3 Mutavault 2 Mana Confluence 1 Temple of Silence The Firestokers 4 young pyromancers 4 Chandra's Phoenix The...
Crimson I think it needs another mana. I do not think banishing light belongs main in a very aggressive deck like that. I would cut those for more burn(jet or mortars) or madcap skills. I feel like if we are going to win this very aggressive approach we will have to take chances and maximizing our e...
I will tell you what it is a piece of shit against burn. I have played it and it is pretty good against the field until you go into a daily run into multiple BR, mono R or WR burn decks.
