Ok, finished third on a 10-men Gameday going monored.
Deck was the same as the Boss' one, with:
-3 hammerhand (haven't found them in time) +3 searing blood
-1 Arena Athlete (same as above) +1 Birber's Purse
-4 Firedrinker Satyr +2 Goblinslide, + 2 Valley Dasher
-1 Denizen + another Valley Dasher
Original ideas for the sideboard were: 2 Altac Bloodseeker (should be called Brimaz Bloodseeker) and 2 Marauders as anti Caryatid. Also, 2 Fated Conflagration for midrange MUs, and a lonely Revoker.
I found me operating with a lot less mana than I am comfortable with, but managed to win against abzand aggro-midrange, abzan superfriends splash red, black white aggro, losing to temur midrange and to the same superfriends splash red in the top 4. I could have won, but I misplayed (scrumping): having finally drawn the Fated Conflagration, I've main-phased for the scry- only for the opponent having Abzan Charm +2+2 his rhino, sigh. Should have waited EOT, screw the scry.
All in all, I've liked the deck.
I suggest to look into Barrage of Boulders instead of Peak Eruption.
Goblinslide was too slow.

As I was suspecting, tomorrow I'll have to work as my LGS deals Standard, no FNM for me this week.
I'll keep on brewing & theorycrafting since i'll be free like a bird as Gameday come. And I'll start with monored.
At which turn the GB player usually brings the Giant in play?
I would really like to ask you about the Revoker. How it has performed? Against what decks you side it in? As a 2-of could work, in your opinion? I'm really thinking about playing a pair maindeck: it would be a mistake? (you know, messin' with opponents walker is always funny)
This is a really interesting question. I will try to answer:
Question for all those who play Anger of the Gods in the side: it is really needed? I have now 3 in my SB for when I want to take control role in aggressive MU. How has performed? Would you continue to keep them? What would you prefer between Anger and Arc Lightning?
Testing notes:
- i really want to test a pair of fated conflagrations, still don't know if main or side

I'm somewhat tempted to shove a 3-of Hall of Triumph. (But I'm brewing to include some "safety valve" against too much HoTness). I'm totally for adding the second Hall. If you are really scared to draw 2 Hall, what about the M15 Paragon as an anthem on legs? I don't like it, but at least is not Legendary.Doomwake is.....fuck, man. That thing sucks.

Seems a good idea, but prob it depends on the meta? In a midrange-infested area I would not leave home without the full set of Stoke.Think maybe cut a Stoke - they don't do much good if you don't have the creatures to tap

What kind of lifegain you faced in the Naya Midrange match??[*]Midrange match-ups bring a decision point also seen in PyroRed: do we board out small creatures, or utility spells in order to bring in swingy cards like Harness by Force?[/list]

@ Khaos: Since I was often a victim of overtime work, I can really understand your irritation.
That said, I really like your list, very solid, seems finalized.
I'm an Hammer of Purp enthusiast, since I've been cursed with a manaflood -aura, but your deck does not need it I believe. I realize there may be too tension to play hammer and phoenix together also, and phoenix seems more cohesive to your game plan.
@LP Titan's strenght seems strong against early opposition. How do you managed to overthrown Junk?
@tbuzzsaw your list has me convinced too. Nice catch on enchantment hate splash!
I'm interested in brewing something with akroan crusader and I'm comparing various solutions.
The key question is: what is the minimum quantity of enablers for a playset of Akroan Crusader? I've some doubts about going all in with enablers.
Akroan Crusader is at its best against midrange and aggro.
I favour Hammerhand over
Horde Ambusher, totally.
Since you have not personally played the deck I'll refrain to ask questions. Would be interesting an analysis on Hammerhand versus Coordinated Assault. The latter need to be sided out against aforementioned brickwalls for enchantment removal? +1 seems too little against toughness 5+ guys.
BUT I note that Coordinated Assault EOT + 2 Akroan Crusader on the field = Raise the Alarm on colour for one mana and a nice Jingle Bells moment.
Next week I'll receive the needed cards and will attend FNM (if job permits)
For now, it seems that many red variants are equally viable.
Question for all: Eidolon is for control, I suppose (?)
