This is what i am now testing. As for now i'm not impressed with Pyromancer though he is surely solid. I will also try running Goblin Rabblemaster in this slot. Has anybody else tried Pyromancer/Rabblemaster in RDW?

Well basic forest is an option if you expect to use Blood Moon a lot. I play mostly irl and my local metagame is "creature heavy" so I can't even say I'm facing problems with Moon - RG duals antisynergy. And like Nicholas Heal said - this deck could probably run only 19 lands, so forest could be this additional one instead of Megaliths.
But I must say that I started to play Flame Javelins instead of Molten Rains to fight all these Tarmogoyfs, Oozes, Smiters, Exarchs etc. (with quite good result), so now basic forest is no option for me.

If my metagame ever shifts to more control and combo-ish I will for sure try this latest Heal's version which Khaos posted.

As for sideboarding strategy I must quote myself: "destructive revelry is a great card". I really use it a lot. Against Twin, Merfolks, Affinity, Storm, Rock, Tron, some weird combos like infinite time warps...well maybe it could be even a good
choice in Heal's RDW mirror to fight opposing Eidolons and Dragon's Claws, but I've never faced it=]

I just want to be sure I can hit green mana on turn two, that's why I have 14 sources. Of course I would prefer to add some Wooded Foothills, but that's impossible ;(
Four Grounds could be problem against traditional burn, but that matchup is already "dice roll depended" so whatever. I hadn't lost game due to shocking myself yet.

I was aware of blood moon issue, so I did play it the way to minimaze chances of be left with useless goyfs in hand (delayed moon if necessary) and never really had any problems with it. But you're right that it could be problem someday, the question is if it's gonna happen more that once in ten games.

I played this version in two PTQs with x-2 results both times, almost making top8 in the second one, but screwed up match against Jund in round 7th. It may be a little bit weaker against creatureless combo decks, but overall I recommend splashing green. Tarmogoyf grows really fast in this deck and destructive revelry is great sideboard card. Of course you can clearly see some of your ideas here like singleton Figure and Pillar in Claw's slot=]

I guess it depends on what my opponent did. If he just played tapped shockland or something harmless like forest and nothing more, then I'm happy to lock him with eidolon cause this means I already have two creatures on the board and he HAS to take care of EotGR before doing anything else - this probably translates to eidolon being at least time walk+2dmg to the dome. If he has no quick answer than he is dead.

If opponent played forest and BoP/Noble Hierarch, than I want to burn mana dork and play another attacker. Possibility of facing t2 Kitchen Finks is too scary for this deck.

Although against Tron it may be better to just play two attackers instead of Eidolon.

As for Torpor Orb: it is good against matchups which N.Heal was expecting to face at GP, yet he didn't put it in the SB. Against Twin he probably didn't need that, as he can just race them or kill the damn exarch/faerie in response. Against Pod well...
i don't know.

Man, sideboard strategies for this deck is the thing I would like to read the most if Heal was ever to write an article or to comment here.

SPLINTER TWIN
IN
+2 Dismember
+4 Pyrite SpellBomb
OUT
-2 Pillar Of Flame
-4 Searing Blaze?
Interesting. I played few games against Twin and was always taking out Molten Rains as it is rather slow and it's hard to color screw them. I was playing Heal's list with Forked Bolt which I left in MD so it would be easier to kill Spellskite.

Hi everybody

I recently started playing this deck (Nicholas Heal's version) and already got some good results at local tournaments. I'm seriously thinking about playing it at PTQs this season, but since I've never played RDW before I still have to understand how to play with some of the cards. Especially Vexing Devil. Well, it's not a secret that this guy is best in the early game, but my concern is when (if at all) I should sideboard it out. Could anyone help me with that?

Also, Heal told in his deck tech that Molten Rain and Rift Bolt are metagame depended slots* and the first one was pretty obvious to me. I was siding it out against most of aggressive creature strategies (i'm not completely sure if should do that against Affinity). On the other hand Searing Blaze and Forked Bolt where first to go against creatureless decks. But I wonder if there's something more to understand about SB strategy. I already mentioned
Vexing Devil and second card in this context is Shrine of Burning Rage. When I think about it I would like to keep it in MD against almost everything, maybe besides Storm. Is this correct?

*in the video he talks about them at 5:50 and it seems to me that he mentions some other possible cards in these slots but i can't understand what is he saying, could anyone write down this part?:)
