Long Live Chairman Meow!

GR will be scum this game. I will be too, but on the other team. Both of us will ignore the other throughout the game until we shoot each other in the final day, sealing the town win.

Vote rcwraspy.

Kaze, if the doctor and both mafia teams targeted the same player, nothing would happen?

They will have some idea, because the doc can only stop one kill. If no kill happens, they negated each other. Someone else would have to die if the doc succeeded.

@ everyone! I am going to claim Doctor in my first post of the game. It will probably be a real claim, but just in case it's a fake claim, please don't counterclaim me. kthx.

Yeah, that's true about the lynchproof. Bad example maybe.

It's gonna be a tough game to play as mafia. Open setups are generally easier since you can predict what roles will target where (rather than guess what roles might exist and then guess who they'll target), but now you've got to juggle that with how another mafia team thinks. Think too much alike and you're in trouble. Maybe the best strategy is just to kill people who are going after your team specifically? I dunno.

For sure it'll skew behavioural analysis for the town though too. It'll be harder to clear people when one scum team can legitimately hunt the other.

Right! That's my point! My comment was glib, but some experienced players will intentionally act just a little bit scummy with the thought that if the scum think they're a lynch candidate in future Days, they won't be targeted by the nightkill. Look at me in DtR mafia. Through much of Day 1 the scum were considering killing me. Later in the Day I'd drawn a bit of negative attention and suddenly I wasn't such a good target and got a pass to Day 2.

The opposite is true for this game. Any obvious nightkill will likely be obvious for both mafia teams. Like the doctor, for example. As mafia, would you be willing to risk losing your kill by choosing the obvious target? Maybe not.

Bring it! If Kaze wants it out he can always move it to the mafia theory thread.

Seriously though, I'm wondering if the Doc outing themselves Day 1 might be the right choice (depending on if they might actually be a target normally, of course).

Except that I'll be the Doc and own them every Night. I really like the mechanic that both kills targeting the same player won't have any effect. Means I don't have to act scummy Day 1 to dodge the nightkill. ;)

Never tried a multi-faction game (outside a SK, I guess). Dibs on the doctor.
