If I ran something like this again I would rework the scum team entirely. Specializations would have to change and there might even be some non-builders on the town side.

Was it really that much fun that you'd like to play again? I mean, I'm glad you liked it, but there are other setups I have built too.

One thing I've been thinking is that maybe this site is better prepared to play shorter games. I'm thinking week long deadlines max for each Day (maybe a bit longer for Day 1). Reduces the stress of arguing for days on end and lessens the amount of reading required to do actual analysis (something that people seem reluctant to do at times).

On the other hand, some players seem to only want to post every other day, making it tough to hold to a strict deadline like that. I don't know what the answer is. Maybe mafia's just dead. Seems like half the players in this game didn't really want to play.

Yeah, your reads were good, Dechs. Close to perfect. You just let yourself get dragged into the big town mess that got started. If you'd had a good alternative for the hamfactorial lynch, you probably could have made it happen.

The bomb vest was something I didn't expect and I figured Dechs had a protection role of somekind, col couldn't shoot me so I discounted that bit, I figured I kragalize Dechs, and then hit col as a fail safe (in case kragalizing did nothing), at that point if Dechs managed to next level me, oh well, he's got it

Yeah, fair enough. Bomb vests are pretty scary.

One invention I thought would be pretty cool was immunity to all scum abilities other than nightkills. Dechs would have had to have something like that to stop your Kragle from working.

I know imopen is pretty pissed at me, but with so much power on the town side I had to give the scum something crazy too, and I wanted them to have at least one creative power. That Micromanage ability was mainly intended to punish the town for collaborating on builds too heavily, but ended up just screwing the town when imopen was forced to claim for absolutely no reason. I was thinking throughout that I probably should have made Bad Cop a little stronger and maybe Lord Business a little weaker, just because if it had been Lord Business lynched Day 1, the scum probably wouldn't have stood much of a chance. One thing I hadn't considered was a proposal that never happened - to have all the master builders put out a public message to prove themselves. I'm thinking I should have given Bad Cop a 1-shot ability to make a public announcement to counter that strategy (and potentially lead to some interesting strategic uses too).

Dechs called the game, 100%, but didn't bother trying to get anyone to listen to him, I think because he figured his bomb vest would be the winning stroke. He's becoming a good player. I'm interested to see what Azrael thinks of how all this shook out in the end. I think he and imopen butting heads without being willing to seriously consider other options really hurt the town (and nearly lost the game).

Entertaining game to watch though! Some people had some pretty interesting approaches to building!

LMD, I think you made a mistake in blocking Dechs. You'd already blocked Dechs once before, and Scumbag was claiming a killing ability. I think it would have made more sense to go that route, but hindsight is 20/20 and all that. I was thinking as we entered Day 4 that maybe I valued the bomb vest a little too low, but both scum had the ability to counter it pretty easily.

A bit of a messed up ending there. Both remaining townies wearing a bomb vest, but only Scumbag's was functional. Dechs tried to draw the kill to himself (which would have won LMD the game), but LMD roleblocked Dechs and killed Scumbag instead, ensuring the town win.

Once inside, the remaining builders quickly finish off the skeletrons and are soon facing Lord Business himself.

"Lord Business!" says Scumbag, "We be here to finish ye off."

"Me!?" says Lord_Mcdonalds, "Oh, I don't think so. You're the ones who are finished! And my world is almost finished..."

"Not if we can help it!" says Dechs Kaison, fiddling with a small device in his hands. "Just... let... me..."

"What is that?" asks Lord_Mcdonalds. "Looks dumb."

"It's... just gimme a second..."

Exasperated and impatient, Lord_Mcdonalds sprays the device with the Kragle. Dechs looks on in shock, his last plan, ruined!

"It doesn't matter," says Scumbag. "Ye still be dead, Lord Business, for I have built a secret weapon so deadly, so unstoppable, that --"

"Ugh, you people and your secret weapons! Just die already so I can finish destroying the world! Sheesh!" Lord_Mcdonalds takes a step and crushes Scumbag with his giant robot legs. When he lifts his foot, all that's left are broken pirate limbs and a lego vest with a little flashing light.

"Huh? What's that?" says Lord_Mcdonalds as he moves in to inspect the light. Dechs' world flashes white as Scumbag's vest explodes, sending Dechs flying up and out of the now disintigrating flying skyscraper. Catching himself in the air, Dechs floats for a moment and looks around to see no trace of either Scumbag or Lord_Mcdonalds. The skyscraper is destroyed, and the micromanagers along with it. The world is saved.

LEGO Movie mafia has ended with a town victory. Congratulations to the team!

10 seconds later, you burst onto the set where they're filiming the latest episode of "Where Are My Pants?"

"Honey, where are my --"

"Hey, guess what? Found your pants! Series is over!" says RedNihilist as he throws a pair of legs at the actor's face and boots him off the stage.

"Emmet, send this out to everyone in the universe!" says RedNihilist, getting ready in front of the camera. "Hey, everybody. You don't know me, but I'm on TV, so you can trust me. I know things seem kind of bad right now, but there is a way out of this. This is Azrael. And he was just like --"

RedNihilist's rousing speech is cut off by a troop of robots storming the room. "No! No! Those are my friends!" cries RedNihilist as he watches the robots attack everyone else. "Stop! Stop!" but the robots aren't listening. "Please! You have to stop!" But they're everywhere and more just keep flooding the room!

"Ah forget it!" cries RedNihilist as he explodes with years of suppressed emotion. "YOU ALL NEED TO BE MORE FRIENDLY!!!"

RedNihilist whacks and smacks every robot present, eventually carrying on right out of the room, down the hallway and out the window, hundreds of robots falling out along with his hurricane of rage.

"RedNihilist! You sacrificed yourself. For us."

"Well let's not let Red's sacrifice be in vain," says Emmet. "We've got some Business to attend to!"

As you storm Lord Business's office, you carry out your master builder plan. Things are going pretty well overall until you're captured along with some of your friends. By which I mean all of them.

"Acceptable work, robots," says Lord Business as you're pushed into a vast room. Hundreds of master builders line the walls, each being held in little green cubicles and connected to a powerful relic - the battery. "Hello everyone, and welcome, to my Think Tank!"

rezombad steps forward. "All the Master Builders you've captured over the years... you brought them here."

"You're a very perceptive person, rezombad. They come up with all the instructions for everything in the universe. And now, you'll be doing the same thing for all eternity. Or at least, until I perfect the world, which ought to be," Lord Business checks his nonexistent watch, "Oh, just a few minutes from now."

"No, never!" cries rezombad, "You'll never get away with this."

"Oh, I think I will. You see, rezombad, you may have your imagination, but I have something you never will. Power!"

With that, Lord Business hurls a penny at rezombad, slicing his head clean off.

"No!" cries Emmet as Lord Business's diabolical laugh echoes around the room.

"You're in trouble now," says Lord Business as you're all connected to the battery. "Computer! Set the electric shocker to one hundred Mississippi... Then terminate everyone."

It took a whole lot of complaints and confusion to finally complete that ordinary, run-of-the-mill spaceship, but you got it done. Amazingly, the plan seems to be working as you fly towards the laser gate undetected.

"Who are you here to see?" says the robot guard.

"I'm here to see... your butt!" replies hamfactorial with a way too self-satisfied grin on his face.

"Is that last name 'Butt', first name 'Your', or - OH MY GOSH!"

"Pow! Wham! Kezap!" cries hamfactorial as he unsuccessfully throws batarang after batarang at the laser gate deactivation button. "Dammit, let me just -" hamfactorial climbs out the window and deftly leaps into the booth. "First try!" He quickly hits the button, the laser gate drops, and he jumps back to the ship... and never quite reaches it.

You all watch as he falls towards the infinite abyss of nothingness, eventually falling out of sight.

"Well... that could have been a lot worse," says Emmet.

"We're going to build a spaceship," says Emmet. "Wait, wait, wait! No, not a bat spaceship, or a pirate spaceship, or a rainbow sparkled spaceship. We're going to follow the instructions..."

As you work on keeping your breakfast down (and not because of the seasickness), it's time to get to work.
