I like running semi-open 9-player games for newbie-specific setups, personally. Smaller games are better for the first time. Less stuff to get overwhelmed with.

Smaller games usually take three weeks to a month-and-a-half depending on how much they stall out/how quickly scum is found. Longer games can take several months.

Yeah, what Pendy described is breadcrumbing, which is usually not frowned upon. Cryptoclaiming has more to do with breaking the game, which just makes Mods cranky.

I suppose leaving it to the discretion of the mod is better.

I'm cool with the L-2 claiming.

I don't personally like it because I feel L-1 gets more reads/better reactions, but I understand the differing stuff here.
