The problem with burn is that it just auto loses to unfair decks like Sneak and Show. People have previously boarded in Ashen Rider just to have a chance. Deflecting Palm is much more flexible since you can bring it in for many more matchups and it makes those matchups more favorable too. It helps that Sneak and Show tends to board out their counters against burn, making the chance of resolving Deflecting Palm much better.
Plus I just want to Deflecting Palm an Emrakul.

If I were this concerned I would ask the judge to look at my deck before the event and make a firm decision on it. If he thinks the cards could be considered marked, he should authorize appropriate proxy measures.I am a judge. I know all too well how varied their decisions on such things can be. The fact that I double sleeve will provide some insulation from the problem. I probably won't change them out anyway since I have had those Chain Lightnings since I started playing Magic back in the Ice Age era.

I assume you want to play Swiftspear for faster wins, but what matchups does it help you win that you aren't already favored against? It certainly isn't going to help your combo matchups as those are already bad, so why make your other matchups worse to ever so slightly improve hopeless ones?

Purp - I would run PSully's list card for card with one exception: +1 Smash, -1 Vortex in the board.

Well the lead with Mountain in game three on the draw immediately threw a red flag to me. You know he's running Suppression Field, so why would you leave the fetch in your hand?
Using Chain Lightning on the Thalia was just fine. By forcing him to bounce it with Karakas, you've effectively done four damage vs the three from Chain Lightning since he takes two from the Eidolon on the swing and another two by replaying his Thalia, so that was actually the correct play (and you didn't even realize it!).

You're misplaying. A LOT.
I wouldn't be too discouraged with your finishes. The deck is perfectly viable, you just have to start playing better. Not activating fetches before Suppresion Field resolves, playing your Mountain before your fetchland against a deck you know is running the card in game three, and attempting to kill a Thalia with a Karakas on the field are all HUGE mistakes that you cannot afford to make if you're serious about winning an event.

Well you're saving yourself some damage by not running fetches. You're also seeing these Delver lists running three basic lands tops, making PoP much better than usual.
I've been a huge advocate of Blaze, Blood, and Lavaman for a long time but now I just don't think these cards line up well against Treasure Cruise. They're grindy cards by nature and while Blaze and Blood do a good job of keeping the ground clear, I'm not sure it matters much against a deck running Young Pyromancer and spewing out tokens everywhere.

If I'm playing Swiftspear I definitely want Flame Rift in the deck. The two play well together.
I've been a huge Lavaman fan but at the end of the day you really want a fast clock and Swiftspear increases consistency dramatically. I think moving Lavaman to the board for creature matchups like D&T and Elves is fine, or you could just play Searing Blood instead.

UW Miracles is the tier one deck that comes to mind when I think of decks that PoP is bad against.
You want Vortex for UW Miracles and UWR Delver. It's also not bad against Sneak and Show since it stops lifegain from Griselbrand and can be put into play with Show and Tell, allowing an easier turn three or four kill.
