They are secretly promoting the use of gimmicks to artificially inflate their member statistics!

It's the only way to convince their Curse overlords that their userbase isn't actually eroding (which numbers show that it is).

The switch to Curse pissed off a lot of people. Changing something as basic as the layout of the website will turn a lot of people off just by itself.
