Pretty low since that basically reads 1R - Sorcery - Shock.

Assuming you meant to make it like Searing Blaze, still pretty low since it is 2 damage and at sorcery speed. Only requiring one red doesn't help it much. Searing Blood and Draconic Roar only see marginal play right now.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler ... us-dragon/

10/10 would play. And that's a Dragon.
Seems a reasonable finisher in an aggro build.

On a different note: How does one get the spark back? I have had no drive to play since my boss screwed me out of he Invitational and, since that is over, I should get back on the grind but I just can't bring myself to.

Already qualified for the PT. Why not get the bling?

I have never been so salty from winning a tournament. Took down a Legacy tourney at my LGS today. Won a LED. Guy who took second got two MM packs. Pulled Goyf and Cryptic. Not angry in any way, shape, or form but what are the odds?

You could just say "Fuck you" as you jam foil Lava Spikes, Rift Bolts, and Goblin Guides down their throats.

There's nothing more elitist OR ironic than crushing people with your foil Burn deck.
I am in absolute agreement. Sick of my burn deck? Fine, I will foil it out and beat you even harder. Damn you, now I want to stare at my Judge Bolts while I am at work :(

I never found GW that bad. Anger just crushes them if you drop it early. I am very surprised that you didn't like Ojutai. Did it die when you attacked every time or something? It should have been a real player against GW, Mono Green, Bant, and Abzan at least. Would it have been better as Stormbreath?

It has always served me well. You will also have Negate post board. You can bluff protection pretty well. At worst it is a 5/4 hexproof flying blocker. If you don't like that, just take SBDs or Sarkhans. Then again I am also a sucker for Thunderbreaks but I am not warm on Seeker right now so the exchange is easy.

They should drop a good bit. I would not be surprised to see the price cut in half like you suspect. Burn is a popular deck but since it was one of the few expensive cards, those that wanted to play the deck already have them.

You may wish to look into medical marijuana, iirc New York has laws regarding that, although I dunno the specifics, if you are adverse to smoking it, Vaporizers/Edibles both are options (and are much more effective, although they take a bit longer to feel the effects), Brother had a slipped disk (in fact, the pain he mentioned was similar to yours, pain/numbness and he said it was difficult to squeeze his pinky and thumb together without much pain), and seemed to help.

That won't fix it, but may make your life a bit more bearable
The smell of the stuff makes me nauseous. Besides, those laws are still in their infancy and they haven't even approved any growers yet, much less let people start prescribing. The pain isn't nearly as bad as you are describing by default, it just gets a lot worse when I lift or get stressed due to the tension in my body at those points.

Jesus! Do you lift? Not trying to fuck with you, it helps stabilize my mood far better than tilt-inducing Magic games.
I joined a gym about two months ago. While my physical strength has gone up, it has not helped my mood at all. On top of that, it actually hurts to go now since I have what I think is a damaged nerve in my back that causes alternating pain and numbness in my left arm. I woke up with it one morning after finding myself sleeping in an awkward position contorted around one of my cats (those of you with cats will understand). I need to get it looked at but am in that wonderful grey area where I make too much to get assistance for medical insurance and have to pay the penalties, yet don't make nearly enough to actually afford an extra $300 per month expense for minimal coverage.
Well, fuck, i didn't know that.
Why didn't you tell us this sooner??
And with that said, I'm your friend. Albeit, an internet friend, but a friend nonetheless. And you're my friend. If you need to talk, I'm here, bro.
Just remember, though, MTG is just a game.
I have always believed that my problems were for me to bear alone, not to load onto other people who have their own issues with which they must deal. I just have finally run out of sources from which to draw strength and have begun to truly fall apart.
I feel you bro. Very similar situation. For people like you and I though, Magic is just a distraction that keeps us from facing things and working on their lives though.
It was more than that for me. It was one of the few things I looked forward to. When I was playing well, it was a great mood lifter. It was a source of strength when I ran out of others. There was also the very slim chance that I could spike one of these tournaments and lessen my financial burdens, so it gave me a much needed sliver of hope as well. I do what I can to improve my position in life but unfortunately there really isn't much I can do right now but wait for an opportunity and try to seize it.

My failures over the last few months have shattered what little sense of self worth I had.
Dude. Really? REALLY?
Yes, really. It was the only positive thing left in my life. I have only worked 12 months in the last 36. I get laid off so often that I don't bother keeping anything personal at my workstation. The best I can do now is a shitty, underpaying, part time gig in my field. I am stuck taking care of a thankless, delusional mother because she can't live alone and managed care is too expensive. Most of my family hates me. My brother tried to have me involuntarily held at a county mental facility. I have no social life outside of gaming. I haven't had a girlfriend in years and am not in a position to find one any time soon. I have next to no friends and am miserable nearly every waking moment. Any self worth I may feel is only due to whatever successes I have had and, lately, they have been very few indeed. Quite frankly I don't know how I manage to keep going any more.

I will give it some more thought before printing my list. I may be having selective memory about flood vs screw. I know that I am on the lighter side. I have gotten those 2/3 land Cruises before but Cruise > Dig for me because I cannot reliably get double blue. I already need double white and double red and the manabase cannot stretch any further.

I think the big call for Haven is to recover dragons from your graveyard late in the game on top of providing mana.

I understand your concern about 23 lands very well. I just seem to flood out so much more on 24+. I really want 23.5 lands but don't know how to put half of a card into a deck legally. I figured that I could get away with 23 now since I cut the Elspeth and only have 2-3 5 drops now. I was also hoping that adding the Anticipates would help smooth out the draws a bit.

I don't think Draconic Roar is better than lightning strike. And I don't think you want more than 3 lightning strike. Id probably cut the Ojutai for on the main for another SBD. I'm not sure Chandra is better than outpost Seige or another spell when you are not try playing rabble. Unless you expect a lot of sidisi whip, I think seismic rupture is better than anger currently, plus the matchups you bring it in you are trying to win with mantis riders. I think you want 4x flooded stand and 2 islands 2 plains, pretty crucial for cruise. I'm not sure keranos and narset are better than elspeth.

Those are my jumbled phone thoughts
Keranos is the nuts against control. I never lose games if I untap with him unless I am so far behind the game was already decided. Narset is an experiment but rebounding Treasure Cruise just felt awesome. It only comes in for control but it might be a bit too cute. I wanted Chandra because I don't always 0 button. I like to pop off tokens with her and even ultimate from time to time. I figured that there were going to be enough targets where Roar would make a reasonable 2-of with 6 dragons. I might shave that to 1 and put the 4th Slash back in. Ojutai has been nuts for me. I may want the second SBD somewhere in the 75 anyway but the Dragonlord has easily earned his spot in the main.

I am down to 3 Strand only because I wanted to shave to 23 land but still have enough red sources to have double red on 4. I am 1 Island 3 Plains because I need double white early for Brimaz and never need more than one blue source.
<4 Treasure Cruise in Jeskai is most certainly wrong.
In tokens, I agree. In aggro/midrange not so much because we don't have a loot outlet to easily fill the graveyard.
