Teia browses here? This is perfect.
Teia browses here A LOT, and has never posted, because our harsh words are like studded paddle to the ass, it just gets him off.
Up until recently it was his boyfriend Talore who took care of defending him ITT.

They actually have a "lifeboat" forum which officially serves the purpose of a lifeboat when the main site is down. I'm sure the talk about helpdesk warriors can manage to survive somehow.

obviously when they are not being actively harassed in helpdesks, they catch up on their backlog of tears shed in the mod lounge over userbase harassment issues. Only after this could they actually think about improving the site, but that's another story

The issue hasn't changed actually, its this damn userbase constantly abusing and harassing the poor staff.

Poor guys just can't hold the fort and at the same time handle any criticism at all, just stop guys. post some ponies or some yomako hug smileys instead, don't you guys have any respect for the staff?

It isn't surprising though, stifling discussions (even your own) instead of reforming your misguided ways tends to do that to the quality of a discussion form when its actually you who is in charge.

I do have information that its very tame these days because they are self-censoring themselves after being pointed out the hypocrisy of shitting on people behind closed doors after nuking a subforum for those same accusations, but that didn't seem to improve the thread, instead turning it into a cesspool of mediocrity just for mindless spamming.

I mean, GRRRRR was OK and pretty tame in the days of old. What ruined it was the us vs. them mentality that took a firm foothold in the mod lounge. But again it was ruined alongside other things so...

Consider it a symptom of a bigger problem.

Sorry Onar, but I can I have no respect for the morally corrupt people who banned a bunch of decent people just to cover their lies and are still patently incapable of reversing their illegitimate decisions almost one year after the ordeal.

Specially since they seem to have not learned anything with that debacle, and insist on making the same mistakes over and over again.

Sene:
We infract and suspend people who can't engage in civilized discussion, which is why Belgareth, for example, though having always been a vocal opposer of stuff staff has done, has never been suspended or even infracted for it. Nor has Azrael. It's just when you decide to actually act up that you get sent away for a bit - because you're actively ruining **** when you do. Fueling drama with sarcastic, unpleasant bull****, backhand accusation and trolling, that's what'll get you a very deserved vacation.

As for the FoS clan, essentially they want to be the Gutter. They can't. So they need to conform to clan rules or find somewhere else, like you guys did.

When in doubt: blame gutter
When in doubt after gutters demise: Blame another group
and label them as gutter

I can answer that (since I was staff once upon a time too).

We used to share funny PM's from people raging over some infractions and (mostly) warnings, but it was just over the top stuff.

As for making fun of specific people, I can attest this did not occur at that time at all (like one year ago), even more "special" people like LogicX weren't made fun of at all.

my guess is that all this culture of making fun of users in hidden threads is something that is posterior to my resignation, and a byproduct of this "its not that we suck at managing the site, its that we are being constantly hounded and harassed by the evil userbase" mentality that took grip on the staff.

You were infracted for telling a joke in RLA. The rules are quite clear easy to understand in relation to that: Don't Do It.
You relationship with rivaltuna is more than enough to see that you hold nothing but contempt for him, to claim otherwise would be the height of insincerity.

For example:

"even his posts about Magic read like arrogant bragging" clearly demonstrates that you think his non-Magic related posts are at the very least 'like arrogant bragging', if not outright so.
To claim that someone you believe to be a braggart is an appropriate source of information, when your only supporting reason is a source you openly think is him bragging. Well, it's clear that you're either being factious, malicious, or both.

Now my piece is said, I shall take my leave. Any more of this
conversation would infect my brain.

PS: I looked into this just to see how valid your concerns were. During my investigation I stumbled on your clan's thread and might I say that I am absolutely disgusted by the things your clanmates were saying about rivaltuna and the attitude many of them seem to share (yourself included).
For shame! I'd certainly prefer the company of a 'braggart' over people who brew such bile and cowardice as to slander people behind their backs.
When I first saw this I had to re-check if I wasn't confusing Teai with parinoid, but it do was parinoid's handywork this time.

"The position of moderator deserves respect" - moderators on votan's helpdesk
They are the first ones to disrespect the position of moderator by insisting in their corrupt behavior instead of reforming themselves or at least having the token decency of resigning given that most of them are so patently incapable.

Since they seem to keep leading by "example", users accordingly don't treat them with the respect the position would in principle deserve. A Shocking concept I know.
