alternately, having a deck with doom blade, ultimate price, far/away, devour flesh, thoughtseize, essence scatter, physic strike, syncopate, cancel, and dimir charm available at baseline is good enough to keep ashiok from getting overrun by watchwolf into loxodon smiter into wurm token into level up watchwolf

it only affects creatures it exiles, meaning it needs to never die or the creatures you're milling are lost forever. against control decks it's nephalia drownyard with a one-time activation cost at sorcery speed with upside and a complete lack of graveyard interaction from your opponents (ooze et al). so it's definitely a card that will see constructed play assuming sideboard slots are necessary for a control deck in standard over the course of its legality, but there are a good many creature beatdown deck shells that are ported over from standard and block that are not going to let it do its thing until the meta isn't just a bunch of people mashing duct-taped old decks against each other.

i really feel like they were scared to death of these bestow cards being undercosted and/or we're not going to see a realistic bestow creature until at least next set when they try to push the envelope of abilities from the first set in any way. 6 mana to give a creature +2/+2 and first strike and leave a 2/2 first strike behind that can be naturalized give me a break

they brought back scry what are you sad aboutThey'd have to go pretty overboard to make the mechanics push the envelope. I'm not arguing for flavor. Greek mythology isn't my thing but I think that's likely because college ruined it for me. I don't have any issue with it, but it just isn't my favorite. So what? All of the mechanics have already been spoiled. Might as well be 100%.Worse than Innistrad by a meter, better than Kamigawa by a mile.I
was arguing with some users about Theros. Is Theros more like Innistrad or Kamigawa?
>>worse then innistrad
>>we only seen 33.333333333333333333333333333% of the set
just wait and see. dont be a tard bro.

i'm sad because we got another "RG this should be the only creature card in your deck" planeswalkerinnistrad's flavor is better imo so far.
thrillo what do you th ink abotu the new walker?
i honestly think it's a "we have to see" even if my gut is screaming that this card is absolute trash and will never see play anywhere.
in an empty room it looks pretty boring and doesn't compare well with domri, who essentially does all of the things you want to get out of a GR planeswalker and for the cost of 3 mana and with an ultimate you actually get something out of once active. it doesn't generate card advantage outside of being a 2/2 generator, and its +1 is blank unless you already have creatures in play, and generally if you
have a bunch of creatures in play when you're casting a 4cc planeswalker that has two mana-generating abilities, most of those 1-3cc creatures likely add mana as well, since this isn't really doing anything for the decks domri fits best into.
but outside of an empty room, it's a card with a +1 ability that adds mana, that creates haste creatures that can block at no cost, but has an ultimate that's all rolling dice and doesn't really mesh with the first two abilities.

i'm kind of not entirely sure how i feel about this set or if i'm soaking in the flavor i got out of innistrad. it feels a lot more like a rehash of kamigawa than a shot at a second innistrad, in that regard.
i'm kind of excited for a lot of not very interesting cards and/or pretty much all of these cards i like have scry.
i'm a fan of thassa, her bident, gray merchant of asphodel, karametra's acolyte (in limited... it reminds me of a more-explosive rampant growth titan from ROE), gods willing, read the bones, artisan of forms, omenspeaker, thoughtseize and curse of swine. witch's eye and the UW legends also seem pretty cool.
read the bones and omenspeaker are definitely my top two non-reprint favorites, though thassa giving you a 1/3 of phyrexian arena plus other things is pretty cool, especially considering she only costs 3.

ok well i got the important part right: the house was in her and her father's name, you didn't buy or own anythingYou don't read well.you said the house was in her name and paid for by her dad.Shit. Try buying and owning a house and getting kicked out of it.Shit. Try buying and owning a house.every day, a new and interesting development occurs that somehow adds work to moving into this new apartment because why would any of this
very straightforward process actually follow that single straight path

The house was in her and her father's names but he paid nothing. He was just there to sign stuff because we were too young to buy a house at the time.
She always said she'd put the house under my name too when we married but she "never got around to it."
Turns out though she had no legal right to kick me out, but it's a moot point now since I'm gone.
It might be lawyer time soon if I feel spiteful enough.

my roommate tried to use a personal check to cover his part of the rent and although it is often the case that personal checks cannot be used to pay for things like rent, no one laid out for us that this was the case. we had to go to the bank, get him a money order, bring it back, and presumably we were done.
today because the money order was from him instead of me, who is the sole name on the lease, it's being returned so we can put in another money order that has my name on it because for reasons.

have you ever had your money returned to you despite there being no chance for your payment of "bouncing" due to some arbitrary reason and three days before you're supposed to move after having to spend an hour getting that money in order because of another arbitrary distinctionShit. the data i wound up linking toI think we had this discussion and the conclusion was that unless you live in Africa and then everyone should be circumcised at young age you shouldn't do that to your infants, let them choose when they turn up 18.like if you have a foreskin i don't judge you for having it and cool on you if sex is better for you because of it (sex is pretty awesome without it so i have no frame of reference) but for people asking people to be more open minded about foreskin they sure don't leave a lot of room for people to be open minded about not having it.
was all from rawandan trials and my point insertion into the discussion was that there are populations where it's a potential life saver, so yeah.

i tweeted a friend who was going on an anti-circumcision tangent that lack of a foreskin helps protect against the spread of STDs and was immediately barraged by no fewer than 3 tweets back from both my friend and some person i have no idea who they are about how sad my life must be without a foreskin when all i was trying to say was that having a zealous anti-circumcision attitude can kill people
