No place for Trespass

The better question is if Tasigur finds a place in Modern
4/5 on turn two that isn't Goyf seems legit.
Perhaps even Soulflayer. Trying that out with Judge´s Familar & Oona´s Prowler.

Darkblast/Thought Scour + 2 Fetches or Fetch + Gitxian Probe isn't asking much.

Funny, I was talking about this yesterday with DXI-Edge. I came up with Ooze plus Clique (20 land). Dark Blast and a small amount of discard are good too; I looked at Dimir Charm and Sultai Charm also.

Losing bolt is a big loss, and you're weaker to Burn also.

It's an idea worth exploring IMHO.
Side comment on the Grixis archetype post some testing. Path to Exile and other removal is a bother that you escape with the Bloodsoaked Champ/Bloodghast/Darkblast line. It´s priceless to see the opponents expression when I Darkblast my own Ghast or Champ in response to removal. And guess what, I can always get Blast back all the while I get more Ghasts and Champs into the grave plus getting nearer Delving. Lightning Bolt & Thought Scour on top of that alongside a drip of Doom Blades/derivates for Ooze/Goyfs/random fatties is the skeleton so far. It´s very easy to amass quite and army by only Scouring and dredging Blasts. The bother is balancing the remaining spell suite and support critters. Tombstalkers/Snapcasters/Swiftspears/Delver?

Short list

Bloodsoaked Champion
Bloodghast
Darkblast
Lightning Bolt
Thought Scour
Delve card(s)

Batterskull went back in my SB for Darkblast.
About Darkblast.

It being Dredge 3 coupled with Delve in Cruise & Dig plus the new Bloodghast_1.2 (Bloodsoaked Champion) led me to experiment with UB Delver.

Pro
Darkblast is faster Cruise/Dig fodder and reusable removal fitting the meta (=UR Delver, Affinity, etc.)
Disfigure hits Burns critters.
Bloodghast
Bloodsoaked Champion
Better removal suite
Greater threat persistance
(Odd revelation: Dimir Charm flips Delver, hard counters Cruise and hits most Tier 1 critters.)

Con
No burn to the head.
No direct artifact hate

I'd play 4 dispel, which are also good elsewhere; but I suppose that if you ABSOLUTELY want to beat burn and only burn, then Dragon's Claw is ok.
BlackBurn likes this. Rain of Gore ftw and my topdecks are better that yours! Spellskite is more annoying imho.

Anger is indeed better. Forgot about it. Annul has worked well vs Affinity though. It´s all about stopping that Plating or other key card. It´s a trick deck. And Twin doesn´t know and Lighthouse leaves no dead card in the deck. Well, it´s only 1, but the principle is correct :)

I´ve played this deck for a while going into Modern with much the same deck as everyone else, but the sideboard has Annul vs Twin, Affinity & Auras. Additionally I´m trying Slagstorm vs BW Tokens and (later answer to) Affinity as Shatterstorm feels a tad to slow and tokens buffs faster than a 1 damage thing like Izzet Staticaster or similar can catch.

The main joy of the deck is the plasticity imo. I really like it.
