Yeah at 3:3 with my ability, it's game over heading into night. Prevent all non-kill actions, have a buddy kill X town, and it's next Day at 2:3. Although you could have given us the chance to blow it, I guess, and let Rezombad resurrect Stardust.

Also don't forget that town had 3 chances to lynch me before I would have naturally used my role. I was pretty afraid of being the Day3 lynch after having no Night2.

Yeah, I thought about seeing if you guys would do the Roleblock thing but then I realized it was 3v3 and that there was no point to it.

Interesting how that worked out flavorfully!

Things that worked:

Stardust's role. The game was centered around the concept of Baldur dying and beginning Ragnarok - so it made sense that the player with the role would want to die as soon as possible! How to motivate a player to want to get themselves killed in a certain way? Nerf the scum as a result! I had to include a lot of killing roles, but implement them in ways that made the players thing to use them. I think this part of the design was ultimately successful, and, had anyone put any thought into the setup, would have been a pretty clear indicator that the entire Neighborhood was town. Speaking of the Neighborhood...

The Neighborhood. Odin's role was obviously a red herring. I didn't want the Neighbors to instantly trust each other because that would have been far too powerful for a Mini. Instead, I wanted them to start off with healthy paranoia that would gradually develop into town reads after some time
passed. TubeHunter blew his load early and then used his ability as a reason to lynch the other Neighbor. This is bad - it was a prime example of favoring modgaming (not wise in an Iso game) and tunneling over objectiveness and behavioral analysis. It was a test to the holder of Gungnir and unfortunately he failed - which means the role ended up serving its teaching purpose!


Things that didn't work:

rezombad's role. I groaned outwardly when I remembered that I forgot to change it to a Day activation from a Night activation during the last Day. That was a mod mistake, and I sincerely apologize for it - not that it would've changed much, thanks to...

rcwraspy's role. nAll-in-all, I think this setup did alright for a Mini with 4 killing roles (one of which could only kill mafia) and I'm not too upset about the fact that the game ended on Day 3's lynch (even with a skipped Nightkill, which was part of the intention of Baldur's role - balancing out the number of kills necessary to activate his role).

The sun rose over the mountain tops, creating a misty landscape of purple and orange skies with flecks of blue creeping through.

A large wall sat around Amsvartnir, the city guard atop it, watching the horizon, waiting for any sign of danger.

"Beautiful sunrise today."

"Shut up with that sensitive crap; we're men of war, Hrothgar."

"Sorry, Beowulf."

The men on patrol started speaking again, when a monstrous rumble, like the earth was being split in 2, surrounded them. Another rumble. The ground vibrated violently with the reverberations of sound.

"Where is that coming from?!?"

"Over there! Look!"

A Frost Giant appeared from the mountains, lumbering towards the city.

"Alert the king!"

The city flew into a panic as the Frost Giant knocked
through the wall like it were made of hay. Slaughter was in-bound.

Suddenly, Skirnir appeared! "Run for your lives!" Skirnir commenced battle with the Frost Giant. Magic and blades flew like mad until finally, both beings crumpled in a pool of blood and ice.

Beowulf ran up to Skirnir. "You must prevail, Skirnir! Get up! Live to fight another day!"

"N...o..." whispered Skirnir. "T...tell the king...Ragnarok...is comi..."

Dead.

The Frost Giants have been released.

Asgard is under siege.

This is the final war of the gods.
