SCG premium creds??

It's rotation time and I'd love to get a look at some of the Star City Games premium article content.

Does anyone have a login/pwd they'd be willing to share? All I do on that site is read, so I won't fuck anything up...

PM me if you can help me out please!

Ross's article was very good today, very informative. I'm not sure playing end hostilities and angers is better than racing and winning with jeskai charm blowouts. He came to some of the same conclusions I did about mentor. I scanned his 1/29 article and didn't find mention of Mentor at all. He is ...

Chandra is most likely better I was really just curious to see how outpost siege would perform. I was happy with it but you make good points about the enchantment hate. I'm also a sucker for any kind of goblin bombardment type effect I can find so that probably made me a little too eager to throw s...

I'm confused. How many decks are we talking about here? One person is talking about siding out Ascendancy, but the most recent list in the thread doesn't even contain it.

I've been liking a couple black cards lately: Bitter Revelation functions a little more like Dig than RTB (but costs 1 more) - still testing, but seems really good post-board when digging for SB answers Dictate of Erebos seems good with a token-heavy build, especially when sac'ing to Butcher and/or...

I think Brad was dicking around with that 4-color list, you know, just to see who would copy his idea.
Just dicking around into the top 8 of a SCG Open!

Of course, he might be the caliber of player who could make his way into the top 8 with a pile of coupons clipped from the Sunday paper...

I'm thinking about going the other way and playing Craig Wescoe's 2-colour RW tokens deck. I've started testing on MTGO and deck is really fun to play. Am happy to do a primer if folks are interested.
Heck yeah. More is better with decklists and primers.

Could be that the post-board control mode ship has sailed. Maybe post-board extra aggro is the way to go? Might have to tweak the mana base a bit, but having swiftspear and bloodstained champ might not be bad. I think champ would love to hit for 4 or 6 points before feeding a butcher and then coming...

i just bought back my rabbles at a much lower price than i sold them. I'll put them back in and test, but so much stuff at 3 CMC feels just AWKWARD. http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=12187 Those recurrable bloodsoaked champs seem like more support for a 3/3 lightning strike/magma spray split to me. Would 3/3 lightning strike/magma spray be appropriate to have an early zapper for Jeskai Heroic creatures before they get too big? I'm thinking 3 erase in the side as well for PITA enchantments of all flavors.

Any time you find yourself calling someone a dirt bag, use funny humor and think of them as an actual big bag of dirt.
Q: What's the difference between a Hoover and a Harley-Davidson?

A: The position of the dirt bag.

You must have extremely good card draws LD. Some people are just like that. When I played paper, we had two people that were always saying stuff like "I almost lost that, but right at _______ point I drew the only card in my deck that could have saved me blah blah".

Not supersaturated, but high.

So anyway, what's the Mardu Plan for the onslaught of jeskai heroic combo decks sure to come down the pike? Erase in the sb? More burn on the main? More permanent exile effects main? That sort of hoses the aggro game 1 strategy, no?

Slaughter Games could be sweet now, naming Dig Through Time. Not that Slaughter Games was ever a great card... But alas, you have to be in blue and/or green to have uncounterable spells in standard. You have plenty of answers. Also, deck isn't a real deck.
Things that aren't real decks can only be ignored by pros who get byes in tounaments. You've got to play to your local meta, whatever that is.

It's possible that I am playing against folks testing out counter-heavy builds in the tournament practice room, or possible that folks are just drawing counter heavy hands. It's probably more likely that I just don't really understand how to play against blue and around counterspells...
