They play 1 card, and we have to spend 2 to even begin to deal with it. Playtest the matchup and you'll start to see why it's so miserable. I've been trying multiple different decks, and I can't find one that can even win it 40% of the time.

I do think that mantis rider is crucial to jeskai, however I dont think boros needs charm, splashing for Dig is sweet though.

So you think Strasky's list -jeskai charm, +DTT might be juicy?

I'm talking about this deck in this standard right now. Do we need a bigger beatstick (than RM), and if so, what is it? Sarkhan? Ashcloud? Stormbreath?

For anything. It's a good card, and claiming it to be lackluster is being disingenuous.

I think that's a bit of an oversimplification. I like RM, but I wouldn't want a deck with just him and some burn spells in it, would you?

If the answer is no, that implies that he needs some kind of company. But again you just wouldn't pair him up with any random selection on-color curve fittng creatures. He needs specific company.

What I'm asking is, do you want him at the highest CMC position in that specific company, or do you want something a bit larger?

Has anyone messed around with 4/4/4/3 Swiftie/Seeker/Rabble/Firedrinker in the main?

Probably -2 rabble +2 hushwing. Arc lightning becomes titans str or gods willing.

Why not ditch them altogether for 4 grif?

Rabble is the worst card in the deck.

What can go in it's place? The phoenix? Stormbreath? Both skew the curve up. Something white?

Killing a creature with Searing Blood when you have Firedancer on board gives you 3 player damage and then the Dancer trigger hits another of their creatures. Man, that feels great!

Having troubles against Jeskai control. Is it worth loading up any enchantment hate?

Seems great against Polukranos or the Mardu demon guy. Not so much against Rabblemaster or Elspeth tokens. That pretty much relegates it to SB staus, no?

Is DP really worth having main-deck if you don't know they're going to be playing some big fatty or some single non-creature source of large? Or do you just go in assuming that?
