I am not considered trustworthy. They also got tired of hearing the truth without sugarcoating I guess?

Also some of them can't stand this smiley: ^_^

  • We all somewhat figure out what the hell went wrong, agree on it, and decide we're done with it. If people are coming back just to be all hostile and stuff, it obviously won't work.
  • People were not causing any trouble at the time the shutdown of the gutter was announced
  • People were not causing any trouble at the time they were banned (despite what cheap shots might have been thrown at banned members in the suspended/banned members thread )
Ergo I highly doubt that someone will start causing trouble just after someone took the care to set things right and reverse illegitimate decisions.
I even doubt that any of us will go directly into CI post-unban like kingcobweb did. ^_^

What do you mean exactly by no gimmicks? I made a gimmick just yesterday, because I thought it would be nice to have an official account representing us in your site, since MTG Community was banned "for being ( N_S )". My other gimmick is known to the mods. I don't like to out it but I don't make significant efforts to keep it hidden either. Either way I don't care much for those accounts if you decide that creating gimmick accounts is going to be against your site's rules, or TOS.

Fahey. Please read my last post as if it had red bold text in the other forum. We like our moderation to be as little disruptive as possible, but I'm gonna be forced to do lulzy things to your posts if you fail to grant me what I have so politely asked from you. Once again: kindly cut that shit out.

Your friendly neighborhood administrator, GR.

Hey Boub. I was a mod on your brand new site during part of this debacle. I got kicked out for trying to tell other staff members what they were doing wrong and because I am an administrator of this site. I don't want back in, merci. There's some people you should kick out though. You should be able to figure it out for yourself. ;)

Funny how you suggest "talk to us instead of blowing up". I keep saying that you should have "talked to us instead of blowing US up", so highfive I guess?

We were chilling and minding our business just fine back in early June's all I'm sayin'.

But peace man, water under the bridge.

Like I told you guys in Mod Chat (?) the Razzies are just for fun and some venting, but that's it. They just happen to be hosted in this forum because people who need that venting or want that kind of fun happen to be members here. And we brought banners over MTGS because, well, the Razzies are about MTGS and those of us who remain unbanned thought it would be of interest to other MTGS members that weren't aware of this site and who would share that "funny bone" about the other forum. But that doesn't mean that this forum is all about trashing MTGS, or a "troll hub". That line of thought is what brought us here in the first place.

That's it. There's no war. I speak for myself, but I believe it to be others' sentiment when I say that there are no hard feelings. Being internet mad is something a lot of us have learned not to do, and are trying to teach to others. Like someone said, we don't want &
quot;iridium" as an entity here telling us how we should feel or how much we should cared about everything that has happened. Individual members of that group are more than welcome to contribute here as members. That is why Galspanic hasn't made an account, because he thinks he will be treated as some 1980s US ambassador in the former USSR, and if he comes here in "Official MTGS BSNS" he might, but that would depend on his tone. However, if he comes here to talk about EDH, or just chat with old acquaintances and friends, why wouldn't he be welcome?

I failed at bringing the fun back, so I took my fun elsewhere.

You mean on staff?

Well, if I learned anything from my resignation back in June is that having ML access is best to fight the good fight. Mods that never post in CI but are active in the lounge can be engaged, their misguided ideas can be debated, and a bigger impact can be made to sway opinions of non-prejudiced people.
...and how'd that work out for ya?
I was working wonders until they banned kpaca, and I stopped giving fucks about changing the minds of some people. Also when I realized that some guys that I thought were more open-minded started
confirming what other Gutter members had told me all along. So after that I just pointed out stuff I believed they were doing wrong. I still tried to give them some advice on how to better run their forum and improve the relationship with their userbase, but instead of listening they worsened the issues that I had pointed out by making another forum with a disgusting skin instead of posting in the almost defunct ExtendEasy, for example.

TBH, I would have loved to stay on staff, but mainly because how useful the ModCP was between both forums (at the time of my demotion I was behind the lead of a gimmick who may or may not be a mod, and may or may not be related to leaks, but I didn't have the time to confirm anything, so I got nothing :iiam: ).

I cannot help to wonder where is the cultural barrier? And I don't mean your home country, Onar, by all means. The Gutter has people from all around the world, and we all get along fine, and get our humor. People think that the Razzies are about us being internet mad or holding a grudge. Some people are seriously paranoid about our quips in the mini-chat about forum raids. Why? Why don't you get that it's a frigging joke? Why can't some people laugh at themselves? Do you seriously think I would be concerned about a joke that Super awesome dude who gets a ton of bitches everyday made about bondage today? It's all tongue in cheek.

So no, Onar, no one wants you to leave. Our community's goal is to be open. Our site is not the Gutter, beause we know that the Gutter is not for everyone. So just chill, have a good time, post about magic, video games, music you're listening to. It would be so rich to have the latest hits
from your side of the world in our Music forum. Having you here can only make this site better, and that is true for anyone who wants to join.
