Remember, red aggro won the SCG Open just last week. And the scg event before that one and the scg event before that one. Meanwhile straight monoB devotion and straight UW control were the only decks in the DC gp top 8. Me is just thinking that scg events are flooded with people playing JUST FOR FU...

The effect seems very powerful against all (off the top of my head) the creature strategies in modern. Imposing sovereign is probably way more sensible though *sadface*

Hey Ham (and anyone else), I'm sure you are at no loss for things to test, but how do you feel about Urabrask the Hidden ? In my reckoning, he is very good against resto, haste creatures, Finks & pod etc., whilst buying you an extra turn against twin. I know you tested some high end stuff like b...

Shrine also has versatility. Not only does it signal to the control player that the end is nigh, it can also be used to kill pro-red things or just really big creatures. It adds inevitability to the deck. It has perfect synergy with the deck. While you are exhausting your resources to control the b...

Magus is in the MD for testing but It might be better to run 4 VD in the MD and 3 MotM (or 2 Blood Moon / 1 Shattering Spree) in the SB. Vexing Devil always feels great when you cast multiples back to back, or on consecutive turns. Seems to me that 4 or 0 is the right number MD. What are your thoug...

You play Molten Rain, Shrine, and Mogg Fanatic to beat the bogeymen when you don't hit the nuts and win on turn 4. I get what you are saying, and I think I actually fall on this side of the argument (Molten Rain = Tempo + Screw), but surely if we didn't play these cards we get the nuts more often. ...

Play keldon megaliths. You haven't lived until you've killed 4 lingering souls tokens. And Magus of the moon is definitely a card I want to try in the future. I think I'd want a deck with 22 lands, for that and possibly flame javelin to compensate for a lower spell density. Megaliths hits creatures...

Yeah, I gave it more thought and came to realizations. Conley Woods sums it up nicely in one of his videos. Seems like a cool list. With regards to the mana, you include all of the dorks as well, not just land, so it seems your mana is fine? Firedrinker Satyr is in the board cuz I was expecting a lot of aggressive decks (I faced Naya aggro, Mono Green Aggro, Naya Midrange and Jund Monsters) so I never really ended up needing them anyway but they are there for the control matchup, obviously

The 1/1 after Rollicker bestow is mostly irrelevant, I think Ordeal of Purphoros is better in the 2-drop Heroic enabler slot. Eidolon of Rhetoric has solved all of my Storm woes. It's worth paying 1 more for the extra toughness then? And the 1 power is better than Rule of Law ? I am so on the fence about Rollicker. It's reasonable Heroic trigger, and fine on a Flamespeaker. The whole point of bestow is that you get value when the enchanted creatures dies. The body has to be relevant though, and a don't think a 1/1 is ever value...

For what it's worth, Prophetic Flamespeaker should enable some stupid turns if it connects. It's obviously a worse body than Reckoner, and this deck might not be able to force it through. I think I'm gonna try R/b, for the sweet anti-control sideboard options. The hardest matchups for me were the on...
