If you need help, let me know. I have gotten OBS and the beta to run reasonably well together for a while now. Maybe one day I will start streaming again myself.

I would love some assistance, I've resorted too recording my Monitor Screen too make OBS work.... which isn't ideal.

Would you know a better way?

You can buy them from shop for 7$. I dont think they will go higher.

In that case IO2 sell them right now! Encase a drop happen 6.9 is a good price if the store offers them for 7

(will the store still sell them on Wednesday? that is when VM officially ends)

As for Searing Blood arent you guys discarding this? If only Cabal Therapy is reprinted in M15

OMG your rich..... you have to ask Pedros, I think they'll go up because Vintage Master Ended but on that same train of thought they may go down BECAUSE Vintage Master has ended...... right now you can sell them for 6.9 tickets each (which is .9 higher then it was 2 days ago).

BTW MDU, looking at the current standard, doesnt it seem like PyroWhite aka WalterWhite should be good right now? Or is it just worse than burn as a deck of choice?

I think PyroBlack would be the better choice now since the manabase improved and abrupt decay is a thing (though Boros Charm vs Control will be missed).

That said - I like how PyroBlack is looking in the current meta-game my main fear would be Searing Blood - if you can get around that problem you'll have a fairly powerful deck.

Yeah, Lazer debunked the pairing myth with an ORC earlier this year (its a shame because I really believed it).

That said rating does help you form an indication on that level your on since its just based on your win percentage etc:

Less than 1500: Terrible
1500-1600: Bad, or at least very new.
1600-1700: Average. Typical of Friday Night Magic.
1700-1800: Slightly above average.
1800-1900: Good. Able to win PTQs. <-- my current level sadly
1900-2000: Very good. Potential Pro Tour caliber. <-- my level during the PyroWhite and Cawblade days
2000+: Rare Skill. Pro Tour regular. <--- is it even possible

How did we get on this topic, anyway I agree that the communal effect really help solidify a deck list - the main problem is (as far as I can tell) is that this community is mainly R which is an issue if you love the G based strategies and for me I like anything R which produced me results (so unless M15 makes burn bad I'll have trouble not running it).

It also seem that we enjoy playing Game of Thrones the DtR version during our "debates" as well

Back on the EV topic, I notice the .20 increase mid yesterday - I truly hope its a good sign

Vintage Master ends after Tuesday - hopefully that would mean a stronger EV in the next few days.

@Pedros: I'm seriously thinking about selling 150 THS (I'll hoard the other 100+) once it hit $3 do you think it will go into 3.3 or more in the next week or so or would it take MUCH longer then that?

P.S. I looks like I'm now the only DtR member still in the running for potyr since the others drop under rank 150

- my rating however are still jumping up and down in between 1800-1900 so I'll try and get it stable later.

P.S. Do we have a huge Russian Audience in DtR? Ever since the Russian 1st place GP win happened my Russian audience spiked (its has over taken my Australian Audience

EDIT2: The EV is so bad... the only think keeping up-float is my win-rate (its esp. difficult since I'm not selling THS).

Its going too be painful.... on the plus side if you started playing mtgo back in 2008 you get some nice bonuses.

Beta is gonna make streaming on OBS really bad as well (larger file sizes), I HATE the trading, chatting, Game layout for exile, Graveyard and deck building I hope it improve before July the 16th.

Grinding season is back!!

So if your after those 35 qps I suggest that you start farming now (esp. if your on burn) - I went in and 3-0 against really weird lists.... burn is good vs weird things like AiR and Ug Tempo

@IO2: Do you think you can play the MOCS4 Appreciation Event on July 6, 2014?

It depends on how many events are firing (VM is still on until July the 2nd so I think roughly 6-9 hours after the event is over).

it was fun tho because you had entertainment between rounds, and it was very helpful in draft to find out what bombs your opponent had or even just how their gameplan played out. I was pissed when they put the delay on

Agreed, though I admit I abused it every event I went in too find out what my Opp. was playing

Currently in the craziest daily after 2 rounds, any idea how i go back and watch my matches?

After the event is over you can just double click the game too re-watch it (back when I started playing MODO years ago you could watch games while the event was running but they removed it because it was deemed unfair)

AlsoPurp did you make it into any of the MOCS Appreciation events?

Just a heads up MOCS8 grinding starts after Wednesdays DT - I have no idea what the card will be but earning 35 QP for possible future App. Events maybe a good idea.

Also Booster prices are on the rise (thank goodness) I'm going too sell the THS at $3 (not all of them abut around 100 or so).

Increasingly salty at the terrible EV right now. There's a ton I want to test now that I have time. I guess I'll just spew.

Its quite bad for grinders, but if your sporting a 1750-1800 rating you should be able to break even with 8-Mans or if you have LOTS of time you can just play DEs.

so final rating for this season is 1853 (I reckon its much harder to increase your rating via SE).

Going to take a break (because the EV is so bad) until Season 8 which happen on next week Thursday (which is after DT on Wednesday for you lot) - also really looking forward too reading about MOCS App. Event conquest.

I finally got a chance too play magic again (back from my 2 week hiatus yaaay) I end up submitting the wrong list vs a pool of grinders

proceed too go 3-0 anyways since my G1 Opp. running Ux Devo get flooded on round 3 (his flooded saved me since I was stuck on 2 lands for awhile then on 3 lands for another while), my G2 Opp. gets greedy on R2 letting me steal a win and my G3 Opp. was running that HORRIBLE Bant Control deck.

I didn't see your name in MOCS2 App. Event (not many people manage to hit 35 QP for that in (less then 200 people worldwide

) but double check anyway you may have got in) I think you made it into two events between: MOCS3-MOCS5 but I can't recall.

Z will be playing in MOCS4 which I think the entire clan made it in for

so that will be a party, I'm not sure about MOCS3 or MOCS5 though you'll need to double check too see what you got 35 QP for.

Here is whats happening!! For every event which we got 35 QP or more in during MOCS1-6 we get a FREE sealed event with PRIZES

In my case that would be for MOCS1-5 (I only got 15 QP for MOCS6 since I only had 1 week play time...).

Magic Online will provide 2 Theros boosters, 2 Born of the Gods boosters, and 2 Journey into Nyx boosters for Sealed.

THEN

Magic Online will provide 1 Theros booster, 1 Born of the Gods booster, and 1 Journey into Nyx booster for the Top 8 draft.

Here are the times:
June 8, 2014 1-3 Drop, but got some really good cracks
June 22, 2014 <-- MOCS2 this week
June 29, 2014 <-- MOCS3
July 6, 2014 <-- MOCS4
July 13, 2014 <-- MOCS5

All events begin at 9:00 AM. All times are PDT (for UTC, add 7 hours). <---- for me they all
start at 2:00 AM on Fridays Mondays

So how long does vintage masters go on? I gather all the drafters got pulled away from standard which is why packs are tanking in price.

Looks like the MOCS2 App. Event player pool is REALLY small so hitting into money should be much easier - no Owen in this event but at least Sam Pardee is playing in it.

Holy Molly what has been happening too the MODO meta game while I was away??? Jund has over taken Bx Devotion, Control got pushed down into 5th place Ux Devo is back (not surprisingly).

JOU is also selling for under $2 which is HORRIBLE for grinders and THS hasn't reached that magic number yet T_T.

They just count all the boosters which we win together, app. they're still working on the "League Support" which supports clan related events..... (Leagues was on MODO before but they removed it to work on bugs which app. takes YEARS too fix, this was before I started playing MODO so I have no idea how leagues really work).

I've been doing a few vintage masters 8-4s an. This format is weird. I've built a couple awesome decks but haven't won one yet

I heard from the grapevine that it doesn't matter if you win or lose an event with VM because every booster is a money booster, is this true?

Pack prices are going even lower, down to 14.5 tickets for a 3-1 win. Wish I'd had a chance to play a couple of weeks ago.

Lost my 2nd DE 2-2 vs RDW. Game 1 I scried down land 5 on turn 4 with phoenix, 2 charms, shock, helix in hand.
Proceeded to draw two more phoenix and was never able to cast phoenix plus burn to just destroy him so he nibbled me to death. Game 2 I keep searing blood/YP with 1 helix and other removal in hand instead of actively digging for more helix or any chains. Phoenix nibbles me to death while my single token and 3 to him do nothing important. First time that's happened but entirely preventable if I'd planned my scries ahead beyond "this card is good against their deck/castable/isn't 5th land".

At least I'm up 2.5 tickets. Heh.

Hopefully once the VM period ends the prices will return (I STILL need to offload many many THS boosters).

475 MB for a 30 minute video at 2000kbs. Going to hope that's enough quality because I cringe uploading double that size.

I use to use Camstudio, a 30 minute video from them is 1.4 gigs

@Kait: Did you find out if you qualified for MOCS2's appreciation event? Cause if you didn't I'll be very pleased if you play my one for me (offering the same deal as I did with IO2)

P.S. I think it would be interesting if you record the event and put it on the front page, what way you can show us limited scrubs how too draft (if you hit top8) and how too build a solid deck from a seal pool.

Beside the all-powerful Aliens, I notice this downward tread happening after DT which was when all the new formats popped up (unless these were already up before DT, I've only logged in once this week for 3 hours) - so my best guess is the limited players are mainly focusing on the Vintage Master/other limited formats which drops the demand for boosters.

@IO2: OMG its a great feeling logging too find that have few extra rares with one of them being a grand freaken Brimaz (I had no idea the it was wasn't a phantom Sealed event)!!!!!

+1x Harness by the force, +1x Banishing light and +1x Reprisal (all cards which i needed) if you ask me you had a really good haul.

, just double check your QPs first I think you qualified two events (you need 35 too get into one) which mean one of these events will be packed with DtR members since when we started that Rupee counting system I think all the grinders hit 35

I love how wizards introduced 8-Mans/SE/5-3-2-2 into the format since I'm usually time starved

However ever since I switched too SE only (pretty much) I havn't been able to reach 1900 rating+, in fact right now (after one really horrible day, yeah that is all it took) I've been stuck in this 1800 +/-(20) limbo. I think its due too the quality of the players since outside those random Grinder vs Grinder games your playing against avg player which hardly earns you any points for wins but forces HUGE losses for each loss (3-4 wins in a row can be negated by one loss)..... it makes things worst that they're usually running these decks with random anti burn cards.

Perhaps I should return back into my old DE routine of staying up late
