Shouldn't you run both?
Act doesn't belong mainboard yet since control is pushing on midrange pretty hard.

If you're trolling control, I don't think you need to do much different than be RDW or BAI right now. If they do wrath, play a couple more guys, maybe with haste, watch them cry again. You don't really need the defense. Still, if the idea is just hating on verdict, drop non charm burn, chandra, her ...

You don't have enough first turn red for 8 one drops. Viashino firstblade is just a bad card altogether. A 24 land deck that curves it's creatures at 3 and only has 23 creatures (with BTE?) is going to stall out quick. At 24 lands, you should be considering some number of 4-5 drops. Chandra isn't di...
Heh, I saw the haste and missed the intimidate on Marauder at first. Too much midrange boros last season with Slayers' Stronghold and such. I'm looking forward to some playtest results too. I'm starting to see how this could be more fun to play than I first suspected. I don't have time to test it no...
I haven't tested Mogis's Marauder in play myself either, but others have and consider it quite good. About the manabase. You either go Br or Rb. If you go Br, then Hero and Cackler are you choices for 1-drops. And GHC -> TKA is probably wise as well. Keep Marauders in this case. And a couple of Gui...

I know I'm being contrary here but I still don't like it but admittedly that may be my untested bias against Mogis. About improving the mana base, why choose Hero? Using Platypus's changes, which I mostly think are correct, you have 11 [mana]1R[/mana] spells and 4 [mana]2B[/mana]. All of your other ...
You have an even less chance of casting turn 1 satyr or hero than the previous list. Personally, I don't think Hero is that great, particularly since you can't use his heroic and you can't haste it (enter tapped). Legion Loyalist would be a better card with your bigger power list if you want more th...

Question for you all, when you know they are running anger in big boros and assuming you are playing the red devotion deck listen above, how many creatures do you put out? i normally am happy if i have 4 damage a turn threatening, but thats obviously giving him a 2 for 1. early game i feel this is ...

I admit I glanced over it but it's a sorcery so it can't hit Obzedat either which means it doesn't help in the B/W matchup which means it probably can't make the cut. Reckoner and D-sphere die to renounce as well (not that I'm ever going to board vs either card specifically), Elspeth and chained I'l...

This is my current incarnation of the burn deck that Valdarith was also talking about. [deck]Creature (12) 4 Boros Reckoner 4 Chandra's Phoenix 4 Young Pyromancer Burn (17) 4 Boros Charm 4 Lightning Strike 4 Magma Jet 2 Warleader's Helix 3 Flames of the Firebrand Support (7) 2 Hammer of Purphoros 3 ...

After goldfishing with changes to my deck, here are the changes I made. It has a consistent T4 kill. [deck]Creatures (29) 4 Firedrinker Satyr 4 Rakdos Cackler 4 Ash Zealot 4 Burning-Tree Emissary 4 Firefist Striker 4 Gore-House Chainwalker 3 Chandra's Phoenix 2 Fanatic of Mogis Spells (8) 4 Lightni...

I'm currently toying with Zem's RDW - one with Young Pyromancer and Ash Zealot. I do like the increase of interactivity of the decklist due to access to more burn and combat tricks as overall. It increases your chances during mirrors a lot due to access to Shock and YP tokens. I'm still trying to f...

Ok, if you don't mind, i feel my weakest part of playing magic atm is trying to decide what to sideboard and why. So ill list out my thought process and if possible let me know what you would do different and why. For control, i would assume we would be bringing in both hammers and chandras with bu...
Keeping Chandra protected for that long would be a hell of a trick. If hero's downfall weren't in the exact same deck that all the other creature removal is in, you could try boarding out dragons for this as a harder plan to break up versus anything not running red or green. Mostly I think you just ...

My current list is on the last page and does run a full set of Young Pyromancer and Phoenix. The demon isn't the card that is the problem, it's Viskopa and Ghost Council. Demon just makes a bad situation worse. Bringing in chained is a bad choice on that matchup. http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showt...
I tend to get it every 3rd or 4th game on Cockatrice. The demon alone I can handle with tokens, it's the volume of the others plus continual lifegain that hurts. I still want to test racing under the deck but I'm not sure it's the right call. -4 chandra, +2 act of treason, +2 wear // tear is the bes...
Ham, have you tested post sideboard against orzhov? Sin collector, duress, Viskopa, desecration demon, and ghost council is beatable but I feel they definitely have the advantage. Do you just go all in and try to burn through them or answer them? I really want to test with 2-3 renounce the guilds si...
I know I'm in the minority opinion on this but a 20 red/10 white mana base shouldn't give you trouble casting RR or W. Pre scry, Turn 3 RR is a 89% chance and Turn 2 W is 80%. I need to ask since our decks are quite different: How often do you want to turn 2 boros charm? For me, the answer is never ...

In a burn deck, every spell gets compared to the damage/card ratio of Lightning Bolt. If it can't do 3+ damage, then it better provide some other benefit like Magma Jet (scry), be relevant like against a meta with lots of x/2 creatures (Shock), recursive (Phoenix), make other spells better (Blind O...

Gnawing zombie has the benefit of walling up on the ground and is your only turn 2 defense so I'm not sure that's the right move. You need to make it to turn 4 before you go online. What about a couple shocks? It looks like it's the weakest spell in your deck by far. You'd still have 14 cards to rec...
Here's the deck I'm trying. The burn varients really need to consider going to 4 Chandra because you need that card advantage. [deck] Creatures 4 young pyromancer 4 boros reckoner 4 chandra's phoenix 2 purphoros, god of the forge Spells 4 chandra, pyromaster 2 hammer of purphoros 4 magma jet 4 boros...
