Eh it was just an example. I feel like it's a good replacement for reprisal, exile really matters against many decks and its only one mana more

Pillar has been great for me. Definitely won me a game at scg baltimore - sided it in for a junk matchup, guy was running multiple exile angels, palisade giant, coursers, bbov, ect. Game one I just burned him out pretty easily, but he brought in the giant for game two. It was ridiculous, I would cha...

Caryatids and tramplers are what make Chandra and flamespeaker bad vs g based decks. I mean she is fine to run if you just want to draw extra cards a turn, but I'd rather keep in higher impact cards.

Why does them leaving in connections change your sideboard strategy at all though? Typical monoblack players will bring in extra discard for sure, pharikas cure, possibly whips vs burn. What do we bring in? Its different for everyone, but I bring in card draw with the flamespeakers and chandra, answ...

The manabase was solid, as it has been the whole time. The only problem I really recall having (besides severe flood / screw in my 2 lost rounds) was not being able to find a mountain for chains, despite having all the red and white mana I needed. It felt good, I dont see a real need to change it.

Well the round 10 guy refused to split so I'm 8-2 for the day. Lis round 2 to esper, mulled to 5 in 2 out of three games and got stuck on lands, then in round 8 vs gr bloodrush monsters I flooded out, drawing 6 to 8 lands in both games. Definitely going back to 4 helix-I was hoping for sweet yp play...

Well I'm 7-2 at scg bmore right now, gonna draw into top 32I guess, and flamespeaker definitely handed me wins in at least 3 of my rounds, vs boss sligh, mono blue, and white weenies. It immediately shifts the momentum of the match in your direction. That said it's really a meta call... there's been...

Haha yeah I got obliterated r2 by esper because I had to mull in 2 out of three games and couldn't draw more than three lands, but easily won when I had land.

Round three was fun though, mono blue guy kinda lost it when I landed 2 flame speakers and then hushwing

Trying my list out at scg Baltimore today, ended up going a 2/3 spilt on stoke / helix in the main with a hushwing gryff over wear tear in the sb. Took down the burn mirror in round one already, but I was sweating the whole time wishing I had the fourth helix.

I can't say that I'm crazy about agressive mining... Might be one of those cards I'm totally wrong about, but with only 23 lands I don't feel like I have so many extra lands in most games that it would be worthwhile...

IDK. Flamespeaker totally saved my ass last night in matchups against MUD and MBA. Once you start drawing cards with it you pretty much cant lose - mindsparker is nice, but it doesnt draw cards, which I feel like is the key thing about flamespeaker.

Maybe glare of heresy is better than w//t for that slot now? I think UW control boards in extra counterspells and lifegain creatures of some sort - rams, archangels, paladins, I've seen all of them recently.

I've had fun running the shouta list but the SB could definitely be stronger against control. I'll probably end up dropping the reckoners - Purp that list you posted above is almost exactly what I had in mind, t//t and more mortars instead for the midrange vamps.

I've been running shouta's list with a 2nd mortars over the 2nd reprisal, but admittedly not in any events, only in tournament practice games because I'm out of tix and the season is about to flip.
