(POST ROTATION) JESKAI BURN

How is harbringer in any way comparable to stratus dancer? Countering a cruise or wrath or something is so far and away different than bouncing a single tapped creature? Am I missing something here

Mentor is a little too slow, and I think so is SFGM. Most games end with you going off in a single turn, and past 4 lands or so you're going to be discarding extra lands to the ascendancy triggers. Ive been playing and liking seeker as my only creature lately.

Ash Cloud seems like a beating vs UB control too.

If it ever resolves. I can't seem to stick anything that matters :/

Yeah I run the stormbreath dragons and have 3 mastery 4 outposts postboard, but it still feels miserable. They bring in so many bile blights and drowns that easily take care of all of our 2-3 drops, save charms for the enchantments, and downfalls for the big stuff. It just seems unwinnable against a...

After playing 4 matches against sultai in 2 daily events today, leading me to 0-2 drop both events, I'm feeling like its time to move on from RW. I just cant seem to win this matchup anymore, they have too many answers to all the cards we play. What do you all think?

against which decks would you bring in mastery of the unseen? besides the obvious control matchup. do you bring it in vs slower abzan decks too? or what else? I only bring it in vs UB and sultai control. Its not as good vs sultai, but it overloads their charms so our outposts can survive later on.

Yes. It kills Sidisi and takes out Mantis Rider. It's decent enough reach. Also, what Val said about Courser. I will say that I have not played against a Sidisi or Mantis in over 2 months, maaybe just how things lined up for me. Whats this 7-0 PTQ list? I couldnt find it online, only 4 of the top8 ...

Looks like Jared Boettcher is next on the ban list. I'm sure this pleases Kait greatly.
Boettcher was cleared already yesterday, to my knowledge.
I think that was before a bunch of new videos surfaced....

This is what I ran out to win gameday #2, taking a few notes from dpaine and stratsky. Beat green devotion, 1 abzan midrange, one abzan control, 3 mirrors, and lost to one of the abzan once during swiss. Deck felt tight, my only loss came against abzan when I kept a shaky hand with only 1 land after...

I took down my sunday gameday as well, ran a last minute jeskai list tuned up from yesterday where I got destroyed. Went with 4 rabbles, 2 gryff. Pretty sure theyre just for the mirror, and any red decks where you see chains. Most jeskai / mardu variants dont run enough actual mountains to make boarding in peak worth it vs them

I am 5-2 vs junk in sanctioned play with RW... Sure rhino into rhino is backbreaking, but its not THAT bad of a matchup.

Can I get your current RW list purp? Is that 5-2 after dropping rabble from the main?

I've seen lists cutting drum down to 1 or 2 ofs, and I think I like that better, especially since you have no tapping shenanigans like daring thief or disciple of deceit. I think 4x stoke in the main is probably best.

Like, instead of mantis rider we have better mana, t1 swiftspears / t2 seekers, rabbles + hush in the main if we want it, ect. If we just splashed for maybe 2 dig, is it even worth it at that point? How many blue sources would that take?

What if we play a cheaper version of jeskai. Like, no mantis riders, but blue for charm and late game card draw? Is that the worst idea ever? Is mantis rider really that crucial to jeskai that its 4x and no looking back?
