I am interested in running a configuration like this for states. We need to be able to have some game plan against burn. I would ditch the mouthbreather in the board. We also need a way to get through master of waves. There are only three solutions in standard if we are playing mono red one being bl...

I had been using wear and tear in the board as it only costs one white and helps kill annoying enchantments for a deck like bogles. I also have a singleton back to nature as bogles is VERY prevalent in my local meta.

Have you tried playing the psully special from his article on starcity? It is very good and I have a fairly decent record against burn. Especially if you draw a peak eruption against them and set them back a turn.

MDU I would suggest trying burst lightning and thunderous wrath. the burst because of its versatility and the thunderous because of late game punch. I have a question though, is leyline of punishment really just that shitty that we cannot run 1 or 2 in the board?

Is there any way to shore the burn/red matchup? I am currently using a whip in the board. The board is very hard to manipulate at this point. The gift of orzhova seems okay, but doesn't really put a lot of creatures out of burn range. I am still very much in favor of pain seer as it has won me games...

Lazerburn, In your original version the HDF is honestly too much mana as a 4 of. I feel like it constrained my ability to be aggressive. Dreadbore is honestly a better option overall or even an ultimate price or two. I also would advocate the full compliment of herald of torment and leave the LBZ to...

Tournament Report for the TCG 5K Flint Michigan with MDU Rbfliers only differences from his list were one whip of erebos in board and one fated conflagaration in board Round 1 RW Burn (Appeared to be Brad Nelson's List) 2-1 The matchup isn't particularly difficult if you can con the burn player into...

I was play testing MDU list last night and it is very solid. The new phoenix plus exava is AMAZING! Very consistent I was 60/40 against the UWR control list from star city and the mono U matchup isn't terrible.

Lazer I ran your list nearly verbatim. I did a 2/2 split of LBZ and herald otherwise list was virtually the same. 3-1. Round 1 G/R monster- 2-0 this matchup is a joke post board got even more hilarious. Round 2 Mono black pile 1-2- Lost to mana issues which I assume is going to happen due to the nat...

Lazerburn I like your list. I honestly would just swap out the herald for the lifebane main. They both have evasion. I think lifebane is value no matter what the opponent is playing. I will try your list at WNM with the lifebanes main and give a report after.

I am looking at these lists with a glut of two drops. Why isn't the deck running a set of thoughtseize as there are no other 1 drops in the deck. A T1 seize can win a game on its own if an opponent keeps a loose hand or set you up for success.

thanks again Johnny_Spike! I just 4-1ed a CQ and qualified for saturday with your exact 75. The only card I would want is one wear/tear(I would cut one helix) as I had to deal with whip plus dsphere against Esper humans, I managed to fight through it one game. My only loss coming to monoblue. I ende...

List is verbatim from here. The matches were somewhat interesting: Round 1: UWR control- rogue. Lost due to too much point removal + elspeth Round 2: GW beatdown- got a few lucky top decks. Round 3-7: I think ALL black/x. This is a favorable matchup not much needs to be said Top 8 qf: Mono black aga...

Hi. I am Longtoe from Northern Michigan. I am an OLD magic player, 31, who is a physician assistant who practices family medicine. I am slowly converting to MODO due to having my 2nd child on the way. I have been a red aggressive mage since around age 12. I did take a 14 year period away from magic ...
