I didn't feel like checking and I remember Thrillo pretty much not agreeing with the FoS guys on like anything.

this is a false assumption. i loudly disagreed with the one important card i disagreed on (stormbreath dragon), and got into an argument about how i wasn't disagreeing on the assessment of watchwolf (that it is just fine or whatever) tied to the previous loud argument about dragon.
i started out for ashiok, had my favor tempered when i realized it only affected the cards it exiled and that jace milled for 10, and then regained that favor as we got closer to release because of parallels with drownyard.

we need a 2cc garruk.

that said i liked ashiok since day 1 even if i was cagy about that fact after being done so bad by tibalt.

i was pretty straightforward about how ashiok wasn't liliana and that we're probably not going to see it take center stage until after the format has righted itself but that it was a good card because it being a planeswalker nephalia drownyard does not make it bad because it's not a land but good because it's a planeswalker. i also went out of my way to make fun of people who were saying it was tibalt because let me tell you about how much i love tibalt and how much this card is not tibalt.

i first clicked the article and i was like wait pv thinks this card is good ok maybe i should look at it for the 40th time and see what i'm missing and then i got to that line and i'm like pv you tricky bastard.

reading PV try and sell me steam augury is actually pretty painful. he eventually explains the card is good if you're going for volume and not quality which i don't know why you play card draw spells ever but the point of card draw was usually supposed to be i draw more cards so eventually i draw more good ones not just i draw more cards and that's it.
