I'd say Zombie Fish makes the cut. It's showing up in Grixis Delver and was in an Open-winning list. It's certainly a "playable" but if this list is strictly "staples" then it probably doesn't make the cut, but neither do a lot of other cards listed.

I do cut Probe fairly often also, mostly against decks where their cards are all fungible. Burn is a perfect example - every card does 3 dmg - but also because of the lifeloss in that matchup.

i've been happy with the playset of commons/uncommons and cherry pick rares/mythics approach. has kept me pretty fluid in the format for a couple years and since I'm in law school now and not pulling down my old salary it's also noticeably easier on the wallet.
