Firefox? There's your problem.

It doesn't match up with the border on SubSilver2. Also, can we get rid of the text? Powered by Debian and all that? Maybe put it at the bottom of the page instead if it's something that NEEDS to be displayed? It looks tacky.

but debian is such a cool os :gonk:

that border thing (don't listen to checkbox) is rather from the borders of the box below the banner. Nothing wrong with the banner itself, we'd need to update the skin themselves, but then there would be a lot to update. That's graphic designer work.

Well considering all the people who have friends to do that stuff for us, we're all set

Wait...

seriously though, obviously the text can be removed from the skin. we just need to edit the html of every skin.

It would look way better without it. It makes us look like some randoms who just copy/pasted the latest PHPbb forum code off of the web and thought that we mattered because of it. :sherlock:

I would if that were within my skillset. I'm doing what I know how to do. :frown:

I wasn't actually answering his question but rather bagging on his choice of browser.

I'll edit out the swatch when I get the time. I can work on the forum skins too, but it would take a while. I have basic html knowledge and am quite good with photoshop, but would need to read up on forum skinning stuff.

Seriously I didn't even know there were multiple forum skins I could choose from.

Banner seems the best in CA Black.

Anyway without the swatches:

But OK serious post now, if the duplicated title Dies to Removal powered by debian is such an eyesore, I can take it out in every skins, I've already tweaked them here and there in the past, so I definitely know how to work them (well, editing html/php code is not something very hard), the only thing is that I'm not a graphic designer so my aesthetics are questionable.

So muh better without the "swatches" and I would like to see said skins without the powered by!

Also Alex there's no such thing as bragging about having an Internet BFF.

Nevermind I just realized the main board doesn't show the latest thread posted in, just the latest poster, when you're in CA Black

Can this be fixed?

yes its in the todo list, it must have been some regression when I added some new stuff because it was showing before.

That's not true, I always use a forum's dark skin.

There, fixed, I decided to stop being a lazy bum and I took 10min of my life for this.

smileys are still awful in dark skin, if only someone took the time to update the transparencies for every single one of them...

I'm sure many would love to help but-

Also the happy birthday shit has to go. Or at least it has to go to the bottom of the forum in the user info section.

I'd leave it for the time being, while our userbase isn't counted by the several hundreds. It gives a nice humane community feel and I'm sure people appreciate it.

Later on if the site gets more massified we can retire it.
