Downtrodden. Unappreciated. Hated by dogs and debtors alike. You've given this great country everything you've got! Now it's time they return the favor...

Or so some of you believe. You were sitting in on a recent (and infrequent) safety meeting. Everyone had voiced the same concerns they'd been voicing for the past several years. Minutes were taken as they always were, ready for some faceless bureaucrat to disregard. Arguments that had broken out over which were more dangerous, rabid dogs or icy walkways, had faded to a dull roar. Everyone was just about to get back to their thankless tasks, when the Postmaster General, Moist von Lipwig, went to fetch his coffee cup from the table
at the side of the room. He took a sip - and promptly fell dead. You all looked around the room. Joining the postal service is not for the faint of heart, and really, who doesn't have thoughts of murdering all your coworkers in a cold and calculated rage? ... But some among you have cracked under that pressure. Some among you have gone postal.

Welcome to Gone Postal Mafia! This is a game for 12 players (9 town, 3 mafia) which follows all the normal rules, with one addition: Every player can send a message to another target player each Night (through the mod). Mail uses a separate system from the power roles, so a regular tracker wouldn’t see who their target sent a message to and a mail tracker wouldn’t see who their target targeted with other abilities.

Sound like fun? /in below!

The spectator thread will be open to others following the first Night.

Neither snow nor rain nor fear of being murdered while you sleep will stay these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

This seems like a game that should have several vigilantes or have cat silencers worked into the flavor

/in, but I don't look good in shorts.

Suga and Freedom should join as most postal workers are Category 4's. Including this one.

I helped out some with this game. It's a pretty rad setup, I have to say.

I like where we ended up, yeah. I'm interested to see how the messaging ability gets used (and abused) by the different roles.

Since I didn't give Kaze props in the opening post, props to him. What a stand-up human being, that guy. ;)

What else would you use to silence your shotgun?

You do live in Texas, right? Right.

I would like to participate, please.

No-frills, basic mafia is what I enjoy the most.

If he does; he lives in Austin with that response. Texans love cattle, and hate goats/sheep.

You live near Corpus Christi or Galveston/Houston? If Corpus Christi; I might have met you.

I live near Galveston (last exit before you leave the mainland)

Doubt you've met me, although weirder things have happened (ran into an editor of a site who a stream I am a mod on, said site is based in Florida)

I try to stay away from Houston/Galveston area, but frequent Corpus Christi due to family. Yeh, we have not met then. Maybe someday.

You wouldn't per chance play with one of the groups that's been coming to Houston for the power tournaments?

No, I REALLY try to avoid Houston/Galveston. Corpus Christi or New Orleon's are the only near water shops I have played at.

@Ham, thanks.

I think you misunderstood my question a bit.

naturally.

If you get over towards Corpus Christi; check out Gamer's Den. Really like playing there when visiting family. The player base consists of folks who to enjoy the game and piss each other off. Modern and EDH is strong there as well.

Fascinating, modern largely doesn't exist in Houston

They're all in the abyss that is CM's game.

I'll leave sign-ups up until the end of the week (Sunday). Then we'll shelve this game for now and carry on. Maybe there's not much interest in this game gimmick (though I promise it'll be fun!).

They were all night killed from not being on this site enough. Once you join, you can't leave.

Let's bully kaze into joining

Kaze! Please join so I can try brain surgery again on you! Last time I just had a Colon Scope, Tongue suppressor, Dental pick, and a rubber mallet, but this time will be different! I remembered to get the 2 ton epoxy to put your coconut back together.

:? Oh, wait....I think it's J.B. Weld. Don't play extreme soccer or football after surgery and you should be fine.

I think some people are in cm's game and don't want to be in multiple games at once. Juggling can be a bit intimidating.

i'll try to get witchhunt to join.
