I have only heard positive things about the movie and desperately want to see it. Can anyone substantiate claims that this movie is must-see or is at least worth the $14 + time commitment?

Haven't seen it, either, but I'm equally intrigued by it. It looks REALLY good.

I liked it (saw it in 2D) quite a bit. It's a pretty small-scale film, with few surprises (it almost felt to me like a big-budget 80s action movie), but it's really, really violent and Karl Urban's Dredd's spot-on, so I'd recommend checking it out at the theater (if you still can - it bombed pretty damn bad). :b
