I know you can make a lot of bank on MODO with this. How can I do such a thing?

id start with building a deck and learning it well.

what archetypes(combo, control, aggro) do you best identify with?

In Legacy, I play Enchantress because I have a lot of fun playing it. I like decks where my choices impact the game, so I guess I probably wouldn't be drawn to an aggro deck too much (although I do enjoy playing them, but if I was trying to go infinite with Pauper, I probably would get bored of it eventually).

Combo decks are also something I enjoy quite a bit. What are the combo and control options?

combo:storm, infect
control:delver(some builds are more tempo based) monoblack rats. tortured existence

my favorite deck is a combo/control deck known as damn rats

it involves filling your yard with cycling creatures to power out songs of the damned and gnaw to the bone. i can probably write a primer on that deck if need be

Hook me up. Is it cheapish?

I would also be interested in storm lists.

you can find any storm list on the modo decklist database(every event has at least one)
http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Digital/Ma ... shappening
on the sidebar

my damn rats list should be pretty cheap, depnding on crypt rats prices, it runs a lot of "chaff"

[deck]
4 crypt rats
2 consume spirit
4 songs of the damned
3 krosan tusker
4 pit keeper
4 fume spitter
4 monstrous carabid
4 deadshot minotaur
4 gnaw to the bone
3 viscera dragger
4 grisly salvage
3 forests
8 swamps
3 barren moor
1 mountain
2 evolving wilds
3 terramorphic expanse
[/deck]
cycle cycle cycle use rats to sweep every once and a while, use gnaw to make your life total insane, win with a ridiculous rats, consume spirit, or simply beating with the cyclers

Deck looks neat. I think I can what I don't have of this from my brother. If I can I'll at least try it out. Any sideboard ideas?

snuff outs for infect(maybe scars too because infect is scary you guise)
raven's crime and duress for temporal fissure storm/post
snuffouts also go in for post if they have crusher because you actuallu cant beat that card
architects of will to
correct for fume spitters vs creature light decks(it helps speed up the decks combo which is usually what you need vs those decks)
mulch can fill that same role but with grisly salvage you risk going too creature light
nature's claim so you dont die vs affinity, you could potentially go for ancient grudge thanks to salvage and the lone red source

i think ive covered the worst matchups, the best matchups tend to be any creature based deck that is too slow to roll you before gnaws start hitting
delver decks can be hard if you play vs a competent pilot but finding a pilot that knows how to handle this deck properly is rare

EDIT:checkbox, you can both work on getting this to money, whoever does it first will earn worship.

So what happened to the Pauper DE's on MODO? Is Wizards pulling the plug on the format? I just signed up for MODO specifically to play Pauper, and now the best event series is gone!?!

They removed it because its doesn't encourage people to buy booster packs so Wizards just loses money in the end with all the payouts.

It also happens to be the 'grinders' format of choice, it where I also started :p - that said you can still profit from 8-Mans and 2-Mans but it requires flawless playing or picking up broken decks.

No format besides Sealed/Draft "encourages" people to buy boosters, does it? Even Standard Constructed pushes people to buy singles. Why the war on commons? Seems like they are alienating folks like me who see Pauper as an entry point from getting into online play.

The other formats require more Bomb rares, which forces bots to purchase boosters and crack them open in order to sell the singles to players - Pauper requires common which are much easier to find thus limited the amount of boosters which need to be cracked opened.

Ah, I see. The bot owners crack the packs. I figured they just bought cards from players and made their $$ by their buy/sell spread.

The Daily Events, yes. There's still Premier Events and other queues, plus privately run tournaments.
