My experiences with kiki control have been mostly positive.

Ya'll nigga's suck.
My experience has been polarizing. Either extremely well or extremely poor. When I approach playing or picking a deck I want consistency if anything. I don't think the deck is the biggest 60 card steaming pile like Zem is suggesting but the deck is pulling in 2 directions that hurt its consistency but I see the power in its
interactions.

The thing is I know my play style and kiki control was my attempt to try new territory and branch out but I am not a type of player that sits and reacts to eventually take control of the match. I like to apply pressure and force my opponent to fumble and capitalize on their screw ups. Hence UWR control in any form is not a deck that suits me. Combo or aggro is where I tend to sit.
This. Exactly my feelings too.
Well it looks like you guys have come to the right place then...

I have it sleeved and will be playing it tomorrow, but unfamiliar with the format. Hope I can figure out the sideboarding...

Where do you want Satyr Firedancer?

Also, which match ups is Shrine worth bringing in? Control mostly?

Satyr Firedancer versus creature decks, obviously. But I don't think he's worth it in the Heal shell. Mogg Fanatic 4 lyfe. I also like Shrine main. You'll know when you don't need it more than when you do want it.

Agreed Khaos Firedancer is terrible in this list. What 75 do you have sleeved LD?

EDIT - If it's the pile on the last page unsleeve it and build the original :)

Isnn't it the updated version?

The second lst has a better B/G match up which appeals to me.

I don't know where too post this, but what are your thoughts on Heal's RDW list vs his currently list which I'll call a Burn list overall?

Mind you I'm currently playing Burn in online because its better vs G/B/x (though I'm running a tweak version of Hocking deck, the thread is here).

The original list is, in my opinion, better suited for the majority of the field. The other list, like everyone has noted, is better for Rock style decks. The thing is, these type of decks gain their edges from attacking the metagame at certain angles. So, my advice, use whichever version to fight what you think will form the majority of the metagame.

It's all basically the same deck with 8-12 flex slots, or interchangeable modules. I personally love the first list because it's versatile, allowing you to change roles multiple times in a game even.

Deck check > game loss for not writing 11 mountains vs Junk...

1-1 so far, but tilting hard enough I probably won't recover.

Lazer, your edit literally made me LOL in the middle of the breakroom at work.

Keith, that sucks man. You're 1-1, you still have a chance. Focus on the game one step at a time and remember to have fun. How? Remember why you're playing this deck: because u love to tap Mountains and burn things. Just worry about making as few mistakes as possible. The rest will work itself out.

I actually like that like. Flames if the bloodhand is one of my all time favorites.

I guess it also helps that I was at the lgs and was randomly borrowing someone's burn deck and doing dirty things to faeries.

Punted round 3. I don't want to play anymore. I'm not thinking clearly and I'm making unacceptable mistakes. Seriously disappointed in myself.

Basically did the exact opposite of everything you should do to prepare for a tournament and it's punishing me. I ate something, we'll see what I can salvage. Don't do what I did lol.

Well, if its all downhill, then just play to get some more experience. Mistakes with this deck aren't very forgiving sometimes

Where is Mogg Fanatic not garbage? I think I would rather basically any other card. What am I missing?

No.

On the battlefield? I'm not getting the question. You haven't actually sleeved it up have you.

I'm bringing Jund to GP Boston/Worcester next weekend, but will definitely sleeve this up and play it at Modern FNMs after that. Being a redbro, it's great that I already have all the cards for it.

Did zero work against zoo. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

So far I've played UWR control x2, junk mid, BW Tokens and Zoo.

Was not impressed with it in any of those matches.

I beat the two UWR Control, lost the others. Still trying to salvage this.

I didn't test / prepare enough and I accept that. Still not feeling Fanatic, but maybe that's yet to come. Don't think I'll bother with the modern PTQ though since my friends aren't going. Grind pauper on modo and try to prepare for the WMCQ (standard).

Has anyone thought of a light black splash?

Bump / blightning / lavaclaw reaches / sideboard options?

Posted: Sat Jul 19, 2014 9:14 pm

Might as well play Bump-Burn at that point. Complete with Rakdos Charm & Bloodchief Ascension from the board.

I want details. Copious amounts of details.

I hate that deck. Not because its powerful, but because only douches play Breach.

The first game he combo'd and got me. The second game molten rain just wrecked him. Game 3 he combo'd drew his 14 cards but only was able to knock me from 16 to 3, I fetched, seared Grisselbrand, bolted him and attacked for lethal.
