He is not a total waste; he can always be used as a bad example. :artist:

On to more pressing news! JiN spoilers are up. Not impressed with the new mechanics. I don't expect any real staples for modern being given since GB and BU are the awaited color combos. Just don't see wizards giving Jund and Twin more ammo since the fear them. Maybe Bogles will get something? Constellation looks cool but it appears to
be a heroic upgrade of sorts for enchants? The green one with draw is nice, but 4cmc? Looks hard to get value out of it.

Ser-i-ous-ly. And there also the colorless artifact that anthems any color...problem is it's Legendary so who's going to chance having 3 of them in-hand.

But Iroas seems insane...falter for the whole team, and even those that are blocked can't be damaged? Hello, Boros Aggro (at some point, anyway...black's new sweeper isn't likely on the Constructed curve, but U/W and Bx Control still pretty much have Aggro out of the game for now).

Interesting that Iroas is the only spoiled card that Starcity doesn't have up for sale...they're obviously waiting for the ebay fervor to level before offering him up.

Sigiled Starfish is pretty interesting at common...a 0/3 that they can tap on you EOT to filter their draws.

Iroas at $30 on ebay...that's just plain stupid. Hopefully SCG will bring him in at a more sensible price point at least for starters.

Not dead, but it's finals time, so I might as well be close to dead. Haven't been playing anything other than an occasional grab-bag draft with buddies. Figured I'd hop on to see some of the hype for Iroas. I'm a happy happy college kid who will not have to spend any money next standard season for a new land base. 3rd season of R/w here we go.

Left my phone on a cab before I left Cali hence no communication peeps. Me and all my travel mates lost our win and ins for day 2.

1 of my friends however was able to beat PV round 9 to make day 2 and eventually finished 69th.

Salty that I sold my reckoners for mutavaults.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

The mono-red deck I was gonna play was the foundry street denizen type lists that sully advocates. Friends of mine from Oklahoma where on it and convinced me the deck was good. Tyler unfortunately lost back to back win/ins for top 8 and when I left Darin was playing for top 8 of the Sunday Super series with the same list.

Yo dawg, I heard you sometimes didn't put enough tokens with Brimaz, King of Oreos, so we decided to give you some way to attack freely with your token generator with Vigilance.

It's a bit magical xmas land, but imagine resolving Aurelia on a board with Iroas. Swing with your whole team twice, with the 7/4 god corporeal to boot.

Iroas is quite nice with Brimaz as well, as your 1/1 guy will always survive when you swing with him. I'm picturing a deck with Brimaz, Iroas, Precinct Captain, a bunch of battalion guys (boros elite, Tajic, daring skyjack) and some anthems (Spear, Hall of triumph). Maybe throw in Ajani as well to be able to jump Iroas for 14 damage

Starfish control man.... its going to be all about the Starfish control, the card is almost Wall of Omen good.

@Kait: Does UW have any room for the Starfish? Perhaps the 1 win-con version with elixir?
