I have a question towards the citizens of Murica.
I want to ask you about your freedom'n'stuff.
Is there any law that would prevent you from kicking out a family that rents a room in your house? We have something like that in Poland and it was abused for a long time (you rented a room for a family, then don't pay rent, you can't do shit). I'm writing a book based on my old scenario, it's in 60'-80' american setting and welp, I wanted to implant one of the coolest "polish" stories I've heard in last few days into this setting. Not sure if there's even a theoretical base for that.

Most landlords have a disclaimer on their lease that they can make you leave for any reason.

There's a movie called Pacific Heights about a renter in San Francisco who abuses his knowledge of local tenancy laws to fuck with a couple renting an apartment.

Mhm, it works like that here as well as long as we talk about Not-a-Family. In case of family, you need to find them an equal or better flat to live in for similiar price. Easily and disgustingly abused. Basically when you rented a room for a family, you got yourself fucking cockroaches. And if you'd even try to touch them - you could be sued pretty damn hard.

So there was a guy who found an answer for the issue. He got extremally rich from buying underpriced flats with families and getting rid of them.
He had a bunch of buddies. Nothing special, except of a fact that they were truly hardcore drunkards. He paid for shitload of alcohol, drugs and cheap hookers. And he asked them to party as hard as possible as long as law allows for that (between 8-22).
Then imagine. You are a head of family. You think you nailed the life as you managed to fuck up some landlord, and you are not paying rent. And then you come to the kitchen
to see how drunk/drugged mofo is fucking 50 years old hooker on the table. He only takes a break to vomit into sink and platters you are using for meals. Oh, and you see that your 5 years old son is also watching how old hooker's labia is weaving like a cloth for a bull.
Nobody managed to survive for a week.

Jund Monsters is a pretty good deck.

I think it's won and top 8'd several GPs.

GR is a deck that's basically unplayable, but I'd bet on Brad Nelson Top 8ing with if he decided to play an event since I'm actually fairly certain now that he's the best constructed specialist in standard.

I'll also vouch for Kibler as a person. I've met him and tend to interact with him a decent amount(we share friends in common and at SCG events sit near each other at player meetings based on naming schemes). He's definitely a decent human being as he always gives his fans the time of day and when he's bullshiting with his buddies he's pretty fucking funny.

I do get salty everytime I see someone rocking one of those goddamn mats though. That shits creepy.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

For the new bye system, I have 337 this season, but 2500 for the year. Does that net me byes after the first or no?

James, stop being stubborn, RG Monsters is a decent deck. The deck isn't great, but it IS consistent. It consistently does what it is supposed to do, and that's a big fucking deal.

There's a reason a lot of grinders play it. You exert minimal mental energy to play it. (Basically flip over the top card until you either win or lose.) It makes Swiss go by a LOT faster, and a lot easier. I haven't really played the deck lately, but I can certainly understand the appeal of wanting to play a deck that does the exact same thing every time, and doesn't give a shit about disruption.
I believe that you believe this.

Brad Nelson wouldn't make my top 10 constructed players right now, even if we limited it to just standard.

Idk, just spitballing, he does EXTREMELY well at GPs.

There was one point where he top 8'd 3 GPs in a row and he's top 8'd at least 2 Gps this season in addition to doing well in the constructed portion of pro tours for the last year(don't know how well he finished in block).

Part of skill is picking the right deck and the most accurate term to use for Bards deck selection is RANGE.

4-2 going into round seven. Eliminated from top 8. Mana screw / flood / colour screw for days. I actually think my deck is pretty sick.

Is 2/2/2 JOU/BNG/THS for the pool? Also, could you post up your deck list whenever you get the chance?

4-3. Dream crushed. I think I'm going to quit magic for a while after this.

Partially because I'm furious at wizards for the bye situation, partly because I just going see the point right now. Not really enjoying myself and constantly losing to variance. I know I'm a decent player, and I feel my deck was very good today, but I just can't deal with the variance (both me and my opponents). I've only played one real game of magic today. Everything else might as well have been a coin flip. Who has mana issues this game? I'm not angry, just defeated.

4-4. Mulligans into mana flood. Not feeling it anymore. I need a break.

I know you have good days and you have bad days, but I just had a soul-crushing day.

Is 2/2/2 JOU/BNG/THS for the pool? Also, could you post up your deck list whenever you get the chance?
Deck was:

[deck]Creatures (13)
1 Artisan of Forms
1 Battlewise Hoplite
1 Elite Skirmisher
1 Harvestguard Alseids
1 Lagonna-Band Trailblazer
1 Nimbus Naiad
1 Oreskos Sun Guide
1 Ornitharch
1 Soldier of the Pantheon (foil)
1 Spirit of the Labyrinth
1 Supply-Line Cranes
1 Traveling Philosopher
1 Vanguard of Brimaz

Artifacts (1)
1 Hall of Triumph

Enchantments (3)
1 Chosen by Heliod
1 Ordeal of Heliod
1 Pin to the Earth

Instants (6)
1 Aerial Formation
1 Crypsis
1 Hubris
1 Mortal's Ardor
1 Retraction Helix
1 Voyage's End

Lands (17)
10 Plains
7 Island[/deck]

Creature count was low, but that never bit me. I
think maybe -1 Island, +1 Plains would have been better. This is probably the best sealed deck I've had in an event that mattered. Just couldn't get past the variance.

Hero worship is seen here on our tiny site, it doesn't shock me that SCG has people who hero worship the SCG upper tier either.
