Yeah, there was a game where I dashed Warbringer + Kolaghan Forerunners + Kolaghan Skirmisher with another 2/2 already on board. 11 (4 trample) damage from 4 sources on turn 5. And all of those cards are common/uncommon.

R/B was really under-represented at my store, which I didn't get. We were divided into color groups for product distribution, and there were only ~6 other people at my table. I ended up winning the mirror against one of them in round 4. For comparison, 12+ people each picked R/G, U/B, U/W.

So high, so low, so many things to know.

Went to prerelease. Chose Kolaghan and built a R/B splash white for Secure the Wastes. Ended up 3-0 and then split for top. Felt good.

Damnable Pact, Rakshasa Gravecaller, and Reckless Imp overperformed. Pact won me at least three games outright, and Secure the Wastes is just disgusting as an instant. On the red side of things, Thuderbreak Regent made people sweat, and Qal Sisma Behemoth was surprisingly effective.

For a set supposedly built around dragons, very few dragons made appearances. The Regent was the only one I had in my pool, and it was my seeded pack rare.

Ended up with [card]Atarka's Command[/card], Dragonlord Atarka, Shaman of Forgotten Ways, Shorecrasher Elemental, and another Secure the Wastes as the choice cards from prize packs.

All in all, it was a good afternoon of Magic.

Testing out new Surrak in the Temur deck. So gud.

And thanks guys on the suggestion on the full set of Roast. It's been a monster too. The two pre-releases I went to I played UW both times going 3-1. I managed to pull all three Sarkhans, all four Roasts, and two Thunderbreaks in my pool/prize packs. I think it's a sign.

Just got destroyed on trice against a deck featuring these card.

Sylvan Caryatid
Dragon Servant
Dromoka the Eternal
Dragonlord Kolaghan
Silumgar, the Drifting death
Draconic Roar
Dragon Tempest
Sarkhan's Triumph
Dromoka's Command
Sarkhan Unbroken

Devotion reds sweet, but not when you have to board out all your roasts cause your opponent's mono-dragons :p

Deck actually seemed reasonable. It has enough cheap interaction that it doesn't just get run over and it can pseudo combo kill with either dragon tempest or kolaghan enabling infinite haste damage from nowhere.

Something to chew on for anyone that wants to test the viability of dragon tribal.
