Favorite standard deck ever?

Kicking it old school:

[deck]4 Remand
1 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
4 Mystical Teachings
1 Draining Whelk
1 Skeletal Vampire
4 Mana Leak
4 Think Twice
1 Sudden Death
4 Rewind
4 Rune Snag
3 Spell Snare
1 Seize the Soul
4 Repeal
3 Dimir Aqueduct
4 Watery Grave
2 Dreadship Reef
4 Desert
4 Underground Sea
7 Island[/deck]

Appropriately, played this at my first competitive tourney, where I first discovered the power of red decks. Cause you boy got stomped.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Psyhcatog was probably the deck I would've enjoyed the most had I been around.

I've only been playing since RtR, but my favorite was BR Zombies.

Geralf's Messenger > Falkenrath > Thundermaw

Or RWB Aristocrats. Anything with Falkenrath.

I remember being wrathed so the Hound comes back, untap and Stonewright for infinity.
I remember blowing out a UW player that way. More than once actually.

I remember loose play.

His list looked decent. I'll look into building with dragon whisperer soonish, but I first wanted to nail the goldfishing red deck as it felt the fastest and most consistent. Who REALLY needs rabblemaster right?

Like Brad said, at some point you have to choose between Outburst and Rabblemaster. According to Brad, Rabblemaster has almost pushed himself out of the format. Outburst already has great synergy with Denizen and Swiftspear, and when you're already playing Stoke, Outburst is clearly the better call.

Rabble suffers from the same predicament that Boros Reckoner did - card is SO good that the format has warped around the card until it's bad.

I think the devotion deck wants Flamewake Phoenix while the low curve deck wants Outburst. Rabblemaster is in a pretty precarious position now. I might start unloading mine.

Falkenrath Aristocrat into Zealous Conscripts was a thing of infinite beauty.
Fixed.
Don't tease me with Falkenrath Aristocrat. That gal was just bonkers.

We had so many good toys to play with Aristocrat, Hellrider, Thundermaw, and Conscripts. Damn, I miss those decks.

I'm trying to experience the game in a way that isn't grinding.
I think you should stop posting on magic subreddits. When they see a zemanjaski post, since the #LapGate is so recent, it resurfaces that pretty quickly, and I think it is better to not post and let this kind of fade away over time. If you don't care about your reputation, then by all means do whatever, but I think posting on magic forums (besides this one) isn't good long term if you plan on returning as a prominent member of the community

My favorite deck ever was "Machine Head" but Sledgehammer... and Dos Rakis were not but a smidgen behind it.
Fucking loved those things, it really showed me there were a lot of times that you can play the kind of deck you want even when faced with infinite thragtusks. The card strength just has to be there.

What're the last two or three titles you really enjoyed? What're you looking for?

Tap mutavault to activate itself, sacrifice to Falkenrath Aristocrat, morbid Brimstone volley. *-*
So high, so low, so many things to know.
