Really difficult to do when mods don't get infracted/punished for doing the exact same things users are doing (i.e. flaming), as we've seen in this exact thread (Parinoid, Gals, etc). Also the rage-quitting threads by mods/admins has got to stop. It is your job to handle these types of issues, you don't exactly get to decide when you've "had enough", unless you are resigning.

Perhaps instead of flaming users, you guys could set the example and actually moderate?

If that's not possible, at least get it straight within yourselves
what the difference between "flaming" and "just telling the truth" is, cause there seems to be some confusion in the ranks with regards to that particular distinction.

Hey, now...I popped off pretty hard at the mods before they pulled that "we're going to shut down the thread" bullshit. At that point I called for a coolout so that we could keep the thread open as needed for planning our exodus. Since so few people have
access to FoS I was just trying to back the mods off. I'm glad that you were there to say what we all wanted to, but the jackasses put our balls in a vice so we made nice until we could get everyone safely off that rathole ship. I don't like politicking with smegma, but it was necessary.

It is similar to how people of Italian descent can call each other "dego", which at one point was a highly offensive slur. It's ok for an Italian to call another Italian a dego, but it's not ok for a non-Italian to use it. Since women are the main targets of the word "bitch", she's saying it's ok for her to use it.

Reclamation defense always astounded me...it just seems absurd to me that a group of people would adopt for personal use a massive slur. Growing up outside of DC, it absolutely blew my mind when my black friends starting shouting "Yo ni**er!" (sorry, hate the word) at each other. I asked several friends why it was okay and none could give me a real answer. But it was definitely made clear that only another brother could get away with it...from anyone else it was still grounds for getting beaten or capped. We are sometimes an absurd species.
