Seriously - I went like ten days before I was looking for an excuse to fight someone... I don't think the ham challenge is for everyone in every situation.

So some modern was mentioned earlier. If you bros wouldn't mind I posted my RDW deck in the modern RDW thread and would appreciate some tips. Pretty sure I need another one drop to replace the berserkers. Other than that hopefully the list isn't too bad. I have Lavamancers but lack the fetches to support it.

Thanks, guys. You rock. :hifive:

Not quite in the clear yet. We have a custody hearing at 10:30am on Friday. I don't anticipate that being a problem, but it's another fucking hoop to jump through.

I was curious as to why I've wanted to punch everyone in the face lately. Then I realized that I'm on day 50 of the Ham Challenge, and my wife has felt like shit since she started her Lyme meds. So I've gotten absolutely nothing in the past 50 days. I feel like I could dismantle a fucking tractor with my bare hands right now.
Great work sticking with it, SM! I know the feeling, I didn't get any action until about 40 days in from my ex. Maybe she could feel the waves of aerialized testosterone pulsing from my body.

Hey guys I came up with a real cool deck help me see what to do with it:

[deck]Hodor[/deck]

I think -1 Hodor, -1 Hodor, +2 Hodor in the sb might work better?

It's been tearing up fnm and cockatrice so I think there is something to this deck.

I'd cut four of your MB Hodors down to 3, as it is legendary, so you don't want to see multiples that often, and replace it with one Hodor from the board. Also, Hodor has absolutely no place in the current metagame, and is outclassed in nearly every way by Hodor.

I'm not sure about that lone Hodor in the creatures department - I know it may seem risky, but I would rather take him out and insert another Hodor instead, taking him up to 2x.
I don't think that having two copies of it is likely to have you end up with one of the two Hodors stuck in your hand and the other one begging you to avoid the legendary rule.

24 hodor for land? I only run 2 in my deck and I get them every time. Only running two hodor for land makes sure I never get flooded and I'm top decking gas every turn with my 1337 deck making skills. Seriously I've only ever been mana screwed like one time.

I like the idea of a miser Hodor to compliment the synergy between Hodor and Hodor. Seems good.

Haven't you read my Hodorgeometric Distribution guide? Your % chance to play your miser's Hodor on time is abysmal.

Your reliance on a niggardly amount of Hodors in the side is a weakness of the deck.

@Dpaine: Are you a Bostonian? Or just a B's fan? If you're local, what shops do you play at?

Not quite, I live about an hour away from Boston a little north of Worcester.

I play at Phrexian Games, TJ Collectables and I stopped into one shop in Boston, Pandamonium or something like that.

Geez, you live even closer to Boston than I did growing up.

I grew up in New Bedford, or more specifically Acushnet, and I can say this; going into Boston is a fucking hassle. It's so far and such a pain in the ass.

I wish I were better at talking my friends out of stupid decisions.

Fucking a married person is usually not a good idea.

Fucking a clinically insane married person is never a good idea.

Fucking a clinically insane married person who was arrested for attacking their husband is really fucking stupid and not a good fucking idea.

Penises and alcohol are the leading causes of bad decisions.

The best thing about the Living End deck is that it does exactly the same thing EVERY game; which lets you focus on playing your best. Also, storm and eggs are gone; two of your worst matchups.

I'm running Zeman's mono red list for FNM this week, here's my proposed SB

[deck]
4 Ash Zealot
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Firefist Striker
4 Hellrider
4 Lightning Mauler
4 Pyreheart Wolf
4 Rakdos Cackler
2 Stonewright
4 Stromkirk Noble

4 Searing Spear

21 Mountain
1 Hellion Crucible

SB
4 Mizzium Mortars
4 Pillar of Flame
2 Pyrewild Shaman
3 Electrickery
2 Traitorous Blood
[/deck]

Pyrewild is experimental, seems like he could be good as a mana sink vs. control for recurring damage. Has a similar role to stonewright in that regard, going to see which is better.

I'm thinking about testing Pyrewild Shaman as well, but I was thinking of maindecking them.
TBH I've yet to come up with a list, but I wanted to see how they could
work with Legion Loyalist while still not going with an All-in Red build that would SURELY end up being too short on mana.

Anyway, the real question is: in which scenario would you take them in from the sideboard?
