No, that's a pig. This *points across the room* is a wild bore.

Hard to not 3-0 a draft when you have Torrent elemental AND shaman of the great hunt.

Played UB tempo splashing for shaman, ran into jeskai control with Ugin and End Hostilities in the finals. LUCKILY MY SIDEBOARD HAD 2 COUNTERSPELLS AND 4 DRAW 2'S BITCH.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

It's time to brew Gruul TarmoBurn.
My initial reaction was Naya tarmoburn. Maybe even nacatl.

There is a world where you next level the next leveling and don't play it, because people are expecting you to bring them so they won't bring the queen.

People usually just play what they want. It's hard to predict a general meta for a specific event, and not possible to correctly guess exactly which decks you'll play against. Unless there's a clear cut best deck (and there hasn't been one for my entire competitive lifetime), metagaming usually fails. Play the best deck, play what you know best, whatever.

I mean, mono black was no caw blade. But it was the best deck and you had to prepare for it.

True, but it didn't entirely stop all other random bullshit decks from existing, and you might still face something like green devotion if you were trying to capitalize on the dominance of mono black by playing red aggro.

The best thing to watch was someone quickening then playing cleasning off the top, ESPECIALLY if they already had one in hand but just wanted to fuck with there opponents.

Not that uncommon when the point of the deck is to draw itself 3 times
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.
