i have only now realized that the exponential decay of april fools as a valid form of social humor was tipped at the rise of memes on clothing. we've hit a cultural benchmark where practical jokery is so commonplace where it is for sale. why would you have a holiday for all trolls' day when that is literally every day of your life on the internet.

mostly i'm bitter i used up my espousing men's rights bait in chat when the new clan ported over here so i don't even have a feint to hide behind for All Trolls' Day.

I'd like to officially contest the infraction you handled me in the Cat Monday thread.

I have tried to sort the issue out by PM, but you seem just bent on cracking some wise guy jokes, so I'm putting this complaint follow-up in the hopes it can get a bit more attention from staff than just the PM route.

I have been infracted for making a post which does not contain cats, which is patently false in view of the "special" rules you have set up in the Cat Monday thread. My request is to be taken seriously. I'd like for you to be consistent in your enforcement of the rules and reverse this unwarranted infraction as a result.

And for the record, I do realize this is an April fools joke, and that probably the infraction won't stick for long. With this said, I'd like to point that making jokes is no excuse for forgoing consistency in the application of the rules you guys come up with, unless you
think that having fun at other people's expenses is the proper way of having fun. As lack of consistency goes, we have already the day-to-day affairs of this site, if some allegations in this and other helpdesks are to be trusted. I'd wish that for one day we would try not to fall in the same trap, that would be refreshing for a change...

Seriously, way to spoil all the fun and making your inside jokes at the expense of others, you guys are so cooooool with your addiction to infracting people. I'm sorry, but the word masturbate can definately be used in a safe for work environment. It is not a swear, it is not a bad word, it is a perfectly reasonable word from the english dictionary.

The forum aims for 13+ audience correct? Well they teach 12 and 13 year olds about masturbation in school. It's not a mentally scarring process, it's not a naughty word and it isn't offensive to anyone.

I wasn't aiming that sentence at anyone at all, and it is a general term used for combo and permission that gets used site-wide. The idea of being unable to use a socially acceptable word to describe a deck/player who doesn't intend to properly interact with their opponent and literally just play with themselves is frankly a form of masturbation. The act of playing with yourself for pleasure.
If me using the term masturbate is offensive to you, then frankly you need
thicker skin, because it is socially acceptable.

I think this warning is unjust. It honestly comes across as an attack because you dislike my opinion on combo and control decks.
