Thanks for the meta stuff guys. Japan is kind of regionaly divided meta wise. Players in Tokyo seem to favor Aggro, players here favor control. The tournament is in the next province, but I think I'm going to take a well rounded list and hope for the best.

@Valdarith. I really want a 2013 Challanger. Not a car mechanic, but I know how to drive well. Getting tired of driving big, slow trucks.

My Nissan is turning into a winter beater for Dallas if I get to go to the acadamy.
The Challenger is the way to go if you want a car that actually resembles the old 60s muscle car the most. The newest Camaro is hideous and the Mustang didn't look that good until the '08 refresh. The newest one looks absolutely sick though.

Going from a truck to a Challenger will be a different feeling for sure, but make no mistake - those things are land yachts. Muscle car != sports car.

So I was feeling nostalgic and started watching some old tournament coverage. I forgot how absolutely ridic sulfur elemental was in the day, and how he ran the train on white weenies, which got me thinking that he might be a possible answer for soul sisters in modern. Any thoughts?

That'd work as far as taking out any Sisters or Hawks on the board, yeah. But you still need to deal with Ajani's Pridemates somehow. There are no answers to Soul Sisters you're being foolish

I'm sure it did, but the deck just feels like a pile of card that I would love to play with. Bloodbraid, wooly thoctar, ranger of eos,
noble hierarch, baneslayer. Especially wild nacatl. That is probably one of my favorite cards of all time.

Unrelated note: if they ever unbann nacatl for modern, sign me up. I want to play with that card!

Wild Nacatyl is too good. Let's ban it in modern, reprint it in blue with flying and put it in innistrad / standard.

That would be a shame (Not that I can complain since I played Pauper for years), I do like grinding eternal formats but you lose the thrill of creativity which the fresher formats can provide.

In EDH what is the number of snow sources you would need to justify rimescale dragon. In nekusar I am running 12 basics and I can switch them to snows with no trouble (and might do so for the hell of it anyway), is that plus coldsteel heart sufficient? Because I have been considering running him for a while, and he does a good job of locking down the board in ways red probably shouldn't have.

That dragon seems pretty insane once it is online.
The downsides are important to keep in mind: 1)snow requirement in a format where your non-basics usually far outnumber your basics, and you can only run 2 of the snow duals, so using him requires either contorting your mana base uncomfortably for a 1 of, or relying on the shakyness of being limited to needing your basics to activate him (and as we speak I am goldfish testing the deck, and when he hits it gets funny to try to balance color and snow requirements), 2) as soon as he leaves play those ice counters are like ze goggles, they do nothing. Going through with it anyway, hopefully I can find my coldsteel hearts, tresserhorn sinks, and frost marshes, and if not it's still a 5/5
flyer.

I think Dispel is the best answer to control but if you don't like them I would suggest running 4x Mill enchantments or those Suspend 4/4 guys to win faster, though I think your win rate would be higher without them.
