I'm just happy that Storm made Top 8 at a PT. What's even more exciting about the guy's list was his maindeck Bolts. After the last time I played Storm, I considered doing just that. Yay for U/R Storm!

That was clever, I wonder how many people will believe it.

Z, are you starting to like Modern now?
I've liked Melira for a while, and both TempoTwin with Tarmogoyf and Blue Moon are the sort of deck I can see myself playing.

Btw. anyone heard about home war in Ukraine? Yes, it's even less known and poorer country than Poland. People there are rioting against the government, police killed some people while trying to pacify them.
Just curious if it gets into your medias.

It's getting a fair amount of coverage, but still surprisingly little given the gravity of the issue.

I finally saw Sharknado and Snakes on a Plane last night. Thankfully, there was plenty of booze and distraction of the female variety (and photo :unibrow:).

We also watched the worst Avatar-themed porn. Even the actors looked bored.

Welp, it's hot topic here in Poland.

Few years ago, Ukraine went through Orange Revolution as it was called. Their old government was controlled by Russia. Poland stretched out a hand and helped them a lot in terms of bringing the democracy to their country. (fun fact: Russia punished us hard by placing an embargo on our meat which made our food industry suffer a lot)

Now, they have a lesson of life: freedom has an old man's dick taste.

Second all above. Sharknado is EXCELLENTLY AWFUL when taken in the proper mind frame, in our case as a drinking game. And sheesh...parody porn should be comedy, not drudgery. However, next party I'm going to avoid imbibing a broad drink variety...my gut isn't the happiest today. Then again, one thought of the bevy of beautiful ladies who came
parading down the stairs after a wardrobe change into very pretty sleepwear makes the be pain vanish (not to mention strider in a tiara with golden locks...will post a pic when I get a chance over in the mug shots or somesuch). :unibrow:

Reading Comp Fail: he specified maindeck bolt which isn't quite mainstream. most every storm deck has a playset in the 75, but Finkel for instance, never played bolt main in any of the storm decks he's played in PTs/GPs and he's likely the best storm player in addition to being finkel, so his
lists are usually considered the 'go to' templates.

Also, friend of mine finished 71st place which is awesome.

I didn't watch any of the pro tour as I spent my weekends equal parts, wasted, chasing hos, and playing magic, aka channeling khaos.

+1, LK. We finally got around to watching "The Lone Ranger" last week, and it was fun to see Depp basically reprising the role as a Native American. Movie doesn't even belong in the same sentence as "Pirates...", but Depp's Tonto made it worth the watch.

Yeah, I've found that Johnny Depp movies usually turn out to be much worse than expected, but his acting is always fantastic. He's also one of those guys that's always so likeable regardless of the part they have him play.

Just watched the finals of the legacy open. Took almost exactly 17 minutes.
It was kinda degenerate...

I'll admit to being not too well verse in legacy, but I was under the impression that imperial painter (I had heard it called painted stone in the past... Imperial recruiter a new addition?) wasn't really played much anymore, let alone winning like that o.o

Edit: Also, big weekend for blood moon with this performance at the legacy open, and the new modern 'Blue Moon' deck top 8-ing the pt...

Christen, just read over that briefly, and it kinda reminds me a very small bit of the tabletop rpg 'Paranoia'.

That'd be entertaining actually... Playing traditional tabletop rpgs over the forum...

Oh. My. God. Somebody get me redthirst. I just remembered the Firefly tabletop. o.o

Not main. Never main. And I've never seen a version with Thought Scour.

edit: I see that LP made a pretty informative response on this matter also. Damn my impulsiveness!

Second edit: I see that Kai Budde, Richard Hoaen, and Jon Finkel played Thoughtscours in their lists at the Pro Tour. This
is the first time I've seen a Storm deck with Thoughtscour in it. And I can't say that I like it. I prefer Faithless Looting.

Who was Wilson? I missed the first few games of the Top 8, but from what I read, he bricked like a motherfucker two games in a row. It happens. Sometimes Storm is unstoppable and sometimes it just lays there and takes it like a plastic fuckdoll.
