Happy bday LP.
redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...

I 7-0-1'd my first event of new standard; we split top 4 and the three other decks we're burn so you may be right. I just find the mana base so unappealing.
It could be worse but why don't you try to fix it?
Maybe it needs more tri-lands.
I have not found the mana to be that terrible when you have 8 scry lands and 4 magma jet to help smooth things.
You only need blue for 2 cards.
The deck is dope, it really is. Jeskai Charm is amazing, all modes are very strong. Mantis Rider as well just so good against green.
Green is probably my least fav color so you won't see my playing Caryatid and Courser.
Burn baby burn!

Dechs you're making assumptions, not me. If rathe never interact with you, it's just such a waste of time.
@ dpaine: all that matters is winning = play whatever, just be sure it wins.
But also, don't use SCG results as indicators of anything, it makes us all dumber.

We know you hate SCG Open, but so far its one of the only events we have to go off of. Its better than nothing till the Pro Tour.Dechs you're making assumptions, not me. If rathe never interact with you, it's just such a waste of time.

I appreciate what you did for the deck last season. Just figured I owe it to you to let you know that Burn is back for this season- whether its a more Boros control shell, Boros burn or Jeskai Burn. I love your work and am cautiously excited to see what you could do with this archetype for this season.
We lost two 4-damage spells but we gained one so now we have two 4-damage spells, just like it was before Stoke was printed and burn was still good.
Mana could be better but we played guildgates last season in burn at one point in time and it was fine and the Tri-Lands are obviously better than guildgates. I was thinking of cutting 2 scrylands possibly to go to 3 tri-lands to make the mana better. If your mana is right, this deck is very hard to beat.

Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

Cause it sounds like he has no interest in working on Burn at the moment... I love the thought of a new Zem Burn deck, but it might not ever happen. Hence why I am cautious in how excited I am.why would you be "cautiously excited"?We know you hate SCG Open, but so far its one of the only events we have to go off of. You said he didn't understand you. That statement implies blame on his side. We all know you're a prick; you could at least own up to it if you're not going to apologize.Dechs you're making assumptions, not me. If rathe never interact with you, it's just such a waste of time.

This. I don't have any incentive to work on a Burn deck; I've tested a bunch for the PT and I think bug is the best deck by a small margin; at least if you're expecting to beat little aggro, green midrange creature decks or burn.Play Caryatid, Courser and Nissa

I do enjoy Dech's ironically self delusional posting at times though. Assuming someone is making assumptions so that he can tell them off is a new highlight. Then the classic "doesn't matter if I'm wrong because you're an asshole! Right guys?". Bravo.

I've consistently been unimpressed by Nissa in this format. Bitch dies a lot.
Played your UB control deck yesterday to x-scrump finish. Deck seemed fine, not great. I'd actually splash white for just resolute archangel. Was very annoying to gain control of the game, but stuck at 5 life and dying to topdecked shit 20 turns in.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

Happy birthday, LP!
I think a reanimator deck may be the best deck in the format. When everyone is playing midrange with no counters or grave hate I'm not sure how looping Ashen Riders can be beaten.

Meh. I take tension with most posters for what it is - miscommunication or misunderstanding. Dechs is deliberately confrontational, to the point of hypocrisy. What he needs to prove to himself or others I have no idea, but it's tiring.
