The resemblance is real.

How did you get the dirty hobo look? Is that just natural?
That photo is intense, damn

It's weird having people get this hype over standard lately. Makes me feel like I'm actually missing out on something.

I don't mind, really. I've been filling my Friday nights with other social things that I'd probably enjoy more than a good standard environment. It would be nice to play online instead, but I'm worried that I'd waste too much of my free time on the program. So instead, I just talk about Magic here and watch videos of much better players enjoying the game.

Personal victory of the day (and I just woke up):

Mascioli hits his goal of $750 on a GoFundMe within 3 days (which is very respectable). People are congratulating him.

Then this:

Nope. Back to the drawing board. Can't beat GR consistently enough.

Gotta either splash white or black for better tools. Might actually be black since ult. price and thoughtseize are efficient and don't get blown out like chain. Downside of black is you have to play basic swamp.

I'd start the sideboard looking something like this with the removal spot fluctuating based on how good roast is maindeck week in and out. It's also possible that GR is enough better(while operating in similar design space) that devotion isn't good enough. The payoff is fanatic of mogis and if jamming regent is better more then half the time on 4, then red devotion loses purpose.

4 thoughtseize
4 Thunderbreak Regent
3 Ult. Price
2 Hammer of Purphoros
2 Self Inflicted Wound
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

the only deck i want to play is jeskai tokens because it most resembles a deck with young pyromancer in it, but abzan and whip decks are more or less the upper tier of good and everyone else is just paying lip service to them.

my only request is that if there's some kind of cool foil in this set (ex. MM1 had commons from Storm I didn't have yet) that if you come across copies i would appreciate a non-zero effort to "get" them for me but i have neither expectation nor desire to send you on a fetch quest for me.

my only other request is that you give tom martell a wedgie.

I'll definitely be on the lookout for whatever you need, just send a list when the set is spoiled. Also, if all else fails, i can always pick whatever it is up from one of the numerous stores in my area.

i don't think his comment was the pro bandwagon. i think he's just like "I beat rick grimes" like "people got me funded before a comic book character" which if someone had a gofundme for spiderman or me and i got funded first, i'd be pretty surprised.

but i also may be reading the comment with too much good will.
