Les faltaron pelotas...
I did and he gave me no direct answer citing MTGS policyI absolutely refuse to answer specific questions like that. I'm willing talk about my own experiences or how I felt about an issue, but I'm not going to give you anything on anyone else. Ask him yourself.
Good.I am done N_S
You know, I still believe that basically all the moderators have their hearts in the right place. No one is out to screw anyone over, and no one ever has been. All the bad stuff that's happened over the years basically boils down to misunderstanding and misguided application of force. We (now they) have made plenty of mistakes, but that's what they are. Mistakes. They think they're doing the right thing, and sometimes it's the wrong thing, but it's never an intentional abuse of power orWell, good then. It means you still sport a conscience, which is not too shabby in times like these.
anything like that. All it is is a bunch of young adults trying to run a website effectively and screwing up a few times along the way.
Like, complain about ER not responding to user complaints or the WTC guys' word-of-god style all you want. There are plenty of ways in which all the moderators could improve, no doubt. Maybe some of them aren't fit for their jobs. But calling them corrupt or implying that they don't have a conscience is just ridiculous and always has been.
I dunno. I guess it's hard to apologise for something when the other guy still thinks you're a liar? Have you ever said "Yes, I understand that there were misunderstandings on both sides. I understand that you guys had the best interests of the site at heart and just fucked up. I'd still like an apology."And yet not once they presented a proper apology. Always playing the misunderstanding card. Maybe things could have gone differently if they had the balls to apologise?
Yep, real damage, for sure. If it helps any, I still believe the Gutter was a net negative to the site and never should have been created. Despite that, I also still believe that it didn't need to be closed down. Either way, a less damaging solution couldThis site is a big dump in many senses, and we for sure don't have the manpower to do many things we would like in order to improve it. And although we made a bunch of new friends (like the FoS people) and met a lot of wacky/insane people, the fact is that as of today, I'd say only 1/3 of the gutter regulars who were posting at the time people announced the shutdown are still hanging around and posting here. That's some real damage right there, and just because some random corporation didn't like nasty words posted in hidden subsections of the site.
Yep, that would have been better. It also would have been better if the heart-and-soul members of the Gutter hadn't gone off the handle and gotten themselves banned based on rumours and conjecture.I said this more than once: If people had been honest and came forward with something like "Hey guys, bad news, the site is being sold to a larger corporation, and there is no way that something like the gutter is going to be allowed to stay. What can we do to help you guys move on with the minimum of casualties?"
well I apologize for my own postsThere's too much serious in my blather thread.
This is how blather threads were born, it's only natural. There's too much serious in my blather thread.

Where do you think Stardust comes from anyway?Like a star exploding.

Rumours. Rumours that were deleted by an admin, therefore off-limits. Ideally he would have gone to PM at that point. Why was unconfirmed info given by "anonymous mystery aim guy" off limits? He only knew he was getting banned because that's what this leak told him. So he was getting banned anyway? ‹^› ‹(•¿•)› ‹^›
Put yourself in their shoes and realise that most of the moderators are human.
I was a spambot on that site but I got banned after my programming was rewritten from PG posting to PG-13 posting.A "spambot", if you will.
Since I'm the one that got banned for I quote "malicious actions against websites" and I'm still banned to date, I think I should get dibs on being the first to be apologised to (as far as the dynamic Scumbag-iridium goes). Then we can for sure analyze any of my post-ban "wrongdoings", but suffice to say that I consider any actions taken to circumvent an illegitimate ban as legitimate actions by definition.I dunno. I guess it's hard to apologise for something when the other guy still thinks you're a liar? Have you ever said "Yes, I understand that there were misunderstandings on both sides. Or, if we're feeling totally crazy, have you ever apologized yourself? Assume they're telling the truth for
a sec with the "bullshit" they've been feeding you about the misunderstandings. Put yourself in their shoes and realise that most of the moderators are human.
We can agree. I'm sure many people bit their fingers after making that big tumor, but after it was done it was too late.Yep, real damage, for sure. If it helps any, I still believe the Gutter was a net negative to the site and never should have been created. Despite that, I also still believe that it didn't need to be closed down. But the rumors were true? The AIM leak told me there was a plan to just straight ban me, and that the site was being bought by Curse and that they wanted the Gutter gone? It all went down as postulated by the leak?Yep, that would have been better. It's because your posts gave a certain admin uncontrollable diarrhea.Col. Khaddafi » Mon Sep 09, 2013 9:45 pm
